Week 21 is over and it was filled with announcements from various brands – Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme and Infinix. However, the most popular article from this week was about the distant iPhone 16 Pro duo.
A recent report claimed the 16 Pro will bring the 15 Pro Max’s 5x telephoto camera and the duo will get a new more capable ultrawide camera.
Naturally, the Poco F6 series gets the second spot this week as the duo is highly-anticipated among Android fans. The two phones bring a couple of key improvements like new camera sensors, more powerful chipsets and faster charging. But judging by the Poco F6’s in for review article, our readers seem to be more interested in the vanilla model.
And although a rather niche smartphone, the rumored Xperia Pro-C got a lot of attention in this week’s news cycle. The future Sony handset promises faster charging and unorthodox approach to the camera system.
The F6 also has a higher resolution display and better protection than the F5. The F6 Pro, meanwhile, brings 120W fast charging to the table.
The Oppo Reno 12 series is also out and about now with premium builds, curved displays and ugraded internals. This is the announcement for the Chinese market, so we’ll have a bit longer to get them in the West.
The Relame GT 6T made its debut in India, and the company promises to bring the device to other markets as well. However, it’s not an entirely new device as it is essentially the GT Neo6 SE but with faster 120W charging.
Thinner and lighter – but stronger due to to the specially designed internal structure. They have Gorilla Glass and an IP rating now too, which were missing from Reno11.
Another launch worth mentioning is the affordable 12-inch Poco Pad tablet, which came alongside the Poco F6 series. And of course the Infinix 40 5G with its Dimensity 7020 chipset.
And to wrap this up, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 stars in another leak, revealing redesigned camera island along with a report about the device’s near crease-less foldable display.
A few days ago we heard that the Z Flip6 will also have a less noticeable crease than its predecessor.
This is Poco’s first tablet and it has been designed with both entertainment and productivity in mind.
