Motorola is expected to bring the Razr 50 with a big cover screen, and today, the phone appeared on TENAA, confirming most rumors. The new premium smartphone will inherit the 3.6” panel from the Razr 40 Ultra, which goes around the two cameras and the LED flash.
The listing also revealed key specs like memory, cameras, and CPU frequency. We expect the Razr 50 to launch with a midrange chipset and a fairly big battery, but it will keep the overall design.
The Razr 50 will have a 6.9” foldable OLED on the inside, which will have a Full HD+ resolution and a punch hole for a 32 MP camera. On the back/cover there is a 50 MP camera, assisted by a 13 MP snapper, likely for ultrawide shots. Despite having two OLED panels, the phone will stick to a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The Razr 40 launched with a midrange Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, but now Motorola is allegedly turning to Mediatek for a chipset. The CPU is listed at 2.5 GHz, and reports are that this is a Dimensity 7300X platform that has yet to be announced.
Size-wise, the Razr 50 will measure 171.3 x 73.9 x 7.2 mm (unfolded) and have a 188 g body. It will launch with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, with the final memory combinations to be revealed at launch. Motorola is still silent on the matter, but we expect the Razr 50 series to go live in the following weeks.
