The USA spends hundreds of billions of dollars on weaponry to maintain and extend our worldwide dominance. If we had anti gravity propulsion, there is no way we would'nt use it to further our cause. We could not wait to try out the atomic bomb in 1945. We destroyed whole islands in the Pacific and poisoned hundreds of thousands of people to test it out. No way we would "save" this stuff for a later day if we actually did reverse engineer it successfully.
