Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Ring have been certified by the FCC. This process has allowed us to know their battery capacities.
The Flip6 will have two cells of course, one on each of its sides, with a total combined capacity of 3,790 mAh. This will be marketed as 3,800, 3,850, or even 3,900 mAh typical capacity. Any of those numbers will represent an improvement from the Flip5‘s 3,700 mAh capacity, but it’s definitely not going to be a huge bump.
Through the UL Demko certification we know that the battery will charge at 25W maximum. The Flip6 was also spotted on Geekbench, and this benchmark run reveals that it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Soc, paired with 8GB of RAM. The Camera FV 5 database tells us that the handset has a 50 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture.
The Galaxy Ring will come in multiple sizes ranging from 5 to 12. Sizes 5, 6, and 7 will have a 17 mAh battery, while sizes 8, 9, 10, and 11 will have an 18.5 mAh battery. The size 12 will house a 22.5 mAh battery. The Galaxy Ring will support Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth 5.4.
