This scene was never filmed, it appears only in the novelisation. If its not in the film, it never happened.
Maybe it was scripted but then they realised it made no sense to film if bishop is a synthetic. Makes most sense

That pipe was way too small for an alien to have fit in.
Does not look like it being included would change the direction of the film. If it does not exist then it does not. If it does then it does.
I wouldn't care if this wasn't filmed or conceived. I like the ideas of androids not being acknowledged by the xenomorphs because they aren't real life. It would be cool to play on that idea in future films
Synthetics are not viable hosts so are generally ignored by the xenos. They'd disable a synth if it got in the way. They kill themselves if it's useful as we see in Resurrection.
Memory will sometimes be lost in parts and reconstructed or inferred by 3rd party elements. In this case, the book.

It would have been so obvious to have an alien encounter in bishop’s tunnel. Another sign it’s a great movie is they didn’t need to show anything just leave it to our anxious imagination that bishop MIGHT run (crawl) into one

This was explained in the novel. I bought it @ a book fair in elementary school in 85 ish
I think the xenomorph-hive transform lifeform to either xenomorpheggs or living species.
The idea is that all life is traded into the xenomorph lifeforms.
Thereby they take over planets or any livingfacility they comes across.
Their main goal is to bring further their species terminating all other lifeforms.

:04 you refer to what JC said on his SE of Aliens. Not too sound anal, but actually a friend of his made the "40 miles of bad road" comment and JC stated that he agreed with his friend's observation. I hope that you take this as I intended, seeing how you have such a keen eye for all things Xenomorph related. Keep up the good work.

During the scene where Bishop crawls in the conduit… Doesn't someone hand him a pistol, which he glances at then promptly hands back to one of the other characters?
