The Poco F6 Pro divided opinions in last week’s poll straight down the middle – half of voters say they are not interested in the device, the other half are. Well, the other half could be interested, depending on how the phone performs in reviews. Check out our written review and the video review if you haven’t made up your mind yet.
The vanilla Poco F6 was more popular – two-thirds of voters are into the device, but again some need convincing. We posted our Poco F6 review earlier this week, so check it out if you’re undecided.
We wanted to get a feel for how the F6 compares with the F6 Pro, so we added an option in this poll for those who prefer the Pro. They were in the minority, only 1 in 10 would rather have the more powerful but pricier model.
In fact, price was an issue raised in the comments, despite Xiaomi doing its best to keep the prices low (especially with those early bird offers).
The loss of the headphone jack (the F5 had one) certainly affected the vanilla model, which was already being criticized for its lack of a microSD slot. That is typical of the Poco F series, though, only the original F1 had a memory card slot.
By the looks of it, we have a repeat of last year – the vanilla Poco F will be a hit, the F Pro will be less popular. However, many still hold the Poco F5 from last year in high regard. You can still find the F5 and for a lower price to boot, so we may see a gradual transition from the 2023 F-series towards the 2024 F-series as supplies of the older model runs out.
