After it saw megaton success at the box office, Godzilla Minus One has risen from the depths and is now stomping its way over several digital streaming services. Amazon Prime Video has the film available to rent for $6–or $15 if you want to add it to your library permanently–and the rental period lasts for 48 hours once you start watching or 30 days after purchase.
Amazon also has the black-and white-version of Godzilla Minus One to rent or buy, which pays homage to the original Godzilla movie and was specially formatted by the film’s colorist. If you’re a Netflix subscriber, you can also catch the film there as it was added as a surprise release on that platform. Only the regular version is available on Netflix, but the black-and-white special edition will be added to the service this summer.

In case you missed it when it came out last year, the latest Godzilla film rebooted Japan’s most famous export as a force of nature, weaving in a touching tale of war, family, and redemption into the mix as well. This isn’t the Gojira that you’re used to from Legendary’s Monsterverse, as Godzilla Minus One imagines the kaiju as a walking extinction event that can level a city in minutes with its mere presence or nuke an army into oblivion with a single blast of its heat ray.
Unstoppable, unkillable, and unbelievable, it’s up to a civilian force made up of former soldiers and volunteers who have to halt Godzilla’s rampage after Japan finds itself cut off from outside help following its disastrous defeat in World War 2. Godzilla Minus One was a big hit when it debuted last year, and the film would go on to win the Best Visual Effects Oscar.
Over in the Monsterverse, you can also grab a preorder for Godzilla’s and Kong’s recent film appearances. This is a 4K UHD release of all five movies–including Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire–and it comes packaged inside of a special-edition slipcase featuring Godzilla, Kong, and several other titans locked in battle. You’ll also get digital copies of each of the five films. The collection releases on June 25 and is available to preorder for $100.
