I've seen something similar to the Richmond lights, not a triangle shape, just one light moving slowly in one direction and sometimes stopping. I've seen this probably 10 times over the past couple years. They aren't shooting stars, I've seen shooting stars and they don't move slow or stop and usually have a trail of light behind them. They weren't drones either, way too high up to make out details even with my telescope.
To take photos of the stars you use a fast shutter speed as the stars are actually moving across the sky slowly.
More so for the moon.

Depending on the refraction of the sunlight, an aircraft wing can become totally invisible to the naked eye. Thus, a standard aircraft looks like a cigar shaped object.

I’ve seen military drones moving in unison over long distances over Austin Texas. The drones looked like helicopters with tube frames and no cockpits. Just open tube frames painted flat black.
