Started Scarlet the other day, but just by catching I ended up twice the levels as the trainers. Kinda kills the challenge:(

I'm loving the effect Arceus has had on this one so far. The series appears to have finally embraced some evolution in style. I may just be an oldschool Gen Wunner but I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

Yay! I haven’t seen a play though using quaxley yet. I’m so excited to see my gay duck son in action!!! Also I’ve watched dozens of S/V play throughs and not a single person has explored Nemona’s house/property. Good stuff. Enjoying the run so far.

I guess i can talk about me & my twin sister's adventure in this guide! Since we didn't like/love any of the Scarlet exclusives, we decided to go with Violet as well!
My sister plays it much more often than me, so we chose the female option. (name: Rosa)
There's no voice acting in-game, so we did the voices ourselfs.
We apparently didn't notice several things around our house, including the garden! Nor did we enter Nemona's house…
It's funny how the baby-starters often get distracted by the scenery!
We've chosen Sprigatito as our starter and named him Kittylei. (Reference: Collei is 1 of my sister's main characters in Genshin Impact, and the Grass-type starter is a cat. Hence, Kittylei.)
Nemona's basically doing an NG+ in this game just to be our rival! She might be the best rival so far…
Can we remove the hat in-game, or are we forced to have one?

If I were to play "Pokémon Violet", I would choose a young girl as a student and playable Pokémon trainer and I would also choose a Quaxly as my Starter Pokémon because just like all Water-type Starter Pokémon, a Quaxly can use Ice-Type Moves as if she/he were a Ice-type Pokémon!😀❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

1:38 While I ultimately got both versions, I would've without a doubt gotten Violet if I had to choose just one version. I really REALLY love Miraidon.

2:01 Personally I think the lipstick looks a bit uncanny, so I've never really been interested in using it

2:35 I did turn it off initially, but I actually backpedaled this time after experiencing an unexpected game crash. I'll probably turn it off again later, we'll see.

25:09 Personally, I think all three starters are quite solid this time around. None of them quite reach favorite starter territory, but I still like all three a lot. I think my favorite between the three (when considering the whole families) is probably Fuecoco (though I'm saving it for Scarlet because of another mon I want to use in Violet), with Quaxly just BARELY beating out Sprigatito for 2nd (thus making it the one I picked for Violet).

34:05 I noticed that major battles seems to specifically have the SwSh feel, while wild battles and normal trainer battles feel a bit closer to Legends Arceus (albeit with only the camera being controllable instead of the player)

On another note, it's an easy to miss detail, but I like how during the first battle with Nemona, you can see both Clavell and the remaining starter watching the battle.

Nemona's occasional use of Spanish phrases makes me tempted to compare her to Dora the Explorer

I'm very excited to see how this playthrough goes for you, especially as I'm playing the game myself. The game is shaping up to be pretty great so far, jank aside, so it'll be interesting to see how you ultimately feel about the experience.

Same here, Sprigatito's final evolution detracted it from me (and because I chose Litten in Gen 7, so not another cat) and I almost chose Fuecoco but I have mostly chosen a lot of fire starters in Pokemon, so El Pato gets the honor to stay with me

I didn’t even notice you posted this until now! Well, since my rental hasn’t come in the mail yet, I’m gonna wait to watch this walkthrough, at least until I start playing this game myself. I’d say “until I finish the game”, but I want to go into this as blind as possible, and I don’t know what will trigger the End Credits, since this is the first Open-World Main Game in the series.
