If anyone wants to emulate this game, 100 percent download project restoration. Not only does it fix the Zora swimming and allow you to toggle between speeds, but it also speeds up the elegy of emptiness, maps the transformation masks to the D-Pad, and makes twinmold better by making his hit count not reset when he goes underground
I regularly remember OoT as my favorite Zelda game, but everytime I think about Majoras Mask, I feel it stuck with me more.
Majoras Mask may be a sort of black sheep of the Zelda series, but the kind of sheep it looks like is remarkably wise when compared to the actions of a certain someone we all know and formerly loved and that now reputation amongst the internet community.
At least Majoras Mask holds up after the years😊
I don’t like majoras mask 3d personally and I’m sure many would agree with me
Link the hero of time has the saddest ending. In both games. 😢
I could never get into the Zelda games
What I love most about this fella is that no matter how much we disagree, I genuinely respect his opinion. Truly a great man.
Good stuff, happy to have FINNALY finish it at the age of 38
Link is basically Mad Max, he gets caught in other people's quest and hangs out just to help and get something in return. His personal quest ends once he gets back the Ocarine (and Epona, I guess), he doesn't personally need to help all of Termina's residents
Best 3D Zelda Game ever!
I know it's an old video but that's crazy I never had any crashes I always played on the GameCube collection and about the second-screen Map did you not get the map and compass in the original it showed it in the bottom of a scream and gave you a little yellow indicator I thought it works fine
The fishing game sounds like a fuck you added in just for you! Pray the next Zelda game doesn’t add another
And yes, Skyward Sword is a Zelda game. 😂
Zelda games really have been there when I've been going through tough times, so in a way, Link HAS been there when I needed him
Dragon quest builders 2
Why come you skip over age of calamity?
Even with an infinite magic potion, the swimming in the 3DS remake sucks ass; I genuinely don't know if I'll be able to push through the rest of it.
Majora's Mask is my absolute favourite game of all time, and swimming as a Zora was one of the greatest mechanics ever introduced in a videogame (I mean, can you really believe they made underwater sections in videogames fun?), but I don't know what they did in the remake, the swimming just sucks. That's sad because I was actually liking the remake despite all its other problems (like locking the Stock Pot Inn room behind getting the goron mask, reducing Deku Dash's speed, making slow time twice as slow instead of three times as slow as normal time, etcetera)
FF VII meteor is scary but what if it was an entire game where it was above your head the entire time. When some franchises take a different turn on a tried and true formula, it is revived with hate and doesn’t do well but there are exceptions. This put all of the wacky hijinks of a classic quest for more personal relationships and succeeds at pulling at the heart strings of the player. Youth may seek it as weird and dark but elders see it as spiritual and emotionally charged. Ironically the best thing come with a different approach and absence of tradition for a more deeper meaning. Similarly Link’s Awakening is more traditional but still tells a deep message of waking up from the perfect fantasy of not wanting to but having to. Again no tri-force, no Zelda, no Ganon, no master sword, no nothin’. “Oh no, Areith died”, well how about 2 sisters with no parents lying to themselves of seeing tomorrow when they are facing doomsday. Both of these games show that it doesn’t take tradition just to please the fans to create an impact. Thank you, thank you, and you’re welcome. ☯️❤
Toilet Hand!
I’ll always look to this version of link as being a true hero.
He’s not the chosen one here, he has no reason or higher purpose driving him to save Termina. He does it because it’s in his nature to help those in need.
This is my favorite 3d Zelda this and links awakening are so much about loss and how it’s okay. Thank you Jirard!
Fun fact, there's a fan patch that fixes the glaring issues that MM3D has. Sadly there's no fix to the over brightening but installing is super easy on modded 3D's, just look up "MM3D fixes" and it'll be the first result. It also has a bunch of great editions like quick mask switching on the D-pad.
I got a theory the fierce deity is the original incarnation of link before skyward sword
Best Zelda game hands down.
Holy crap, you got a gold cart????????
I find it weird that you said the 3DS version was better while barely talking about the differences. On N64 the bosses are like BotW bosses in that you can attack them with any weapon and a hit is a hit. The 3DS changed it so you have to hit them with a specific item and then you stab a glow eye three times. Also the changes to Twinmold were unfinished in the remake. You weren't bad at fighting Twinmold like you said in the video, Twinmold is either glitched or just not programmed properly so he takes AGES to die. Like I killed the blue one in seconds but the red one took me 15 minutes! And I wasn't alone. I think what happens is between being grabbed Red Twinmold regains HP so you need to grab him in quick succession to kill him. But this is determined by RNG so it takes most people over 10 minutes to beat a boss typically fought on the final day in a game with a time limit. I don't even know how many times I grabbed him wondering if my game was broken, I los count after 9. On N64 Twinmold is just a fun quick fight as a reward for clearing a super long and confusing dungeon, it has to be cause you'll almost always fight Twinmold in the final 5 minutes of the 3 day cycle. In my opinion the N64 version is SOOO much better, unique and fun. I played the 3DS version first and thought it was just like every other Zelda game and pretty meh. But when I heard Barry Kramer say the bosses were different I raced to play the N64 on an emulator and gained a new appreciation for it. Also even with 3DS being my first experience Great Bay Temple was really confusing and I had to memorise which tunnels lead where, so it didn't really fix that. You also didn't mention how Zora swimming and Deku water skipping changed. They became SLOWER in the remake and swimming at normal speed on the N64 required magic on the 3DS. 3DS might look more polished and higher res but that doesn't make it higher quality. N64 forever!
