It's not the boss, it's the terrible controls, and archaic combat
Just use revalis gale and stack up on bomb arrows and bows(use lynel bows on other lynels if possible).

white maned lynels only gain an explosion. that is it. blue manes will use their fireballs at any time unlike red manes which only use them when under 50 percent.

Old Zora Dude: Go on top of the mountain to get shock arrows. Be careful of the Lynel tho.

Step one: Find lynel
Step two: ???

I used three ice blocks on the first Lynel. He got stuck in between them and started using shock arrows. I just dodge them and hit him back with regular and ice arrows to his face.
Wish pre-fight was a bit different. Not the normal, 'if he sees you, he fights'.
Perhaps have it so if a Lynel sees you, an area is marked on your map. You have thirty seconds to evacuate that marked area, during this period, he will watch you, but not attack. If you move into an area within the marked zone where he can't see you, he will walk to where he can see you, but will still not attack. Failure or refusal to do so will trigger a mini cutscene where the player stands before the Lynel. The player is given two options, drop your melee and bow before the Lynel, which would result in you losing those weapons, as he would then walk up to the player and take them, but in return, he would allow you to leave and he won't attack. Or draw a weapon, and the fight begins.
That means the player could enter Lynel territory and unequip all weapons to be ignored by the Lynel. Only if you have any form of weapon equipped, or refuse to leave his territory will he attack. That also means that harming the Lynel in any capacity would also initiate the fight.

I dont know how to dodge! I beat the shrine that teaches you but i can never do it perfectly
ive heard that when you mount a lynel your attacks dont degrade your weapons
Prince Sidon has way too much faith in me about me being able to take on these things

I'll give some tips here. if you want to beat a lynel only by dodging, don't move. Just hold the shield button and dodge. Moving will mess with the flurry attacks. Also don't be afraid to use 2 handed weapons, as long as you can backflip fast enough, you don't need to swap to the shield.
Lynels are ez, the only one that are actually hard is with the ones with the crusher.
Great advice, I also recommend keeping foods high in attack boost on hand just for Lynels (and maybe some of the huge mobs from time to time). A 3-sword food boost shaves a ton of time off these fights (thus limiting broken items and other meals eaten)
