Family Week on the channel
Note – Not all of the ModCase is available at this time. This review showcases the SSD enclosure, the cooling fan (with fan tests), and a 3rd party battery to showcase the strap in the base $30 kit.
hi will it still fit the original case?
I know this is a year old video, but how grippy is the case around the hands?
Is there a way to charge whislt ssd enclosure is pluged in ?
YO THAT HAND FREAKED ME OUT!!! lol😂
its weird – I have the same Jsaux case and I have zero movement/play on it – its actually a super tight fit on mine 🤔
On point. No nonsense minutes. I am buying! KUDOS TO TAKI
What is name of this transparent steam deck shell?
Can It scratch the l1 and r1 buttons taking on and off the case??
Hey, this case working too with steam deck oled?
Wouldnt putting the deck with a case inside the stock carrying pouch cause additional stress to the joysticks?
Will they make a new case that will be compatible with their transparent back case with fan vents?😊
The Steam Deck does NOT fit on the original carrying case with the backplate on.
I have the OLED model and there’s no way to close the zipper without damaging the joysticks.
Can you remove the SD card easily?
What i am looking for right now is a way to conect to SSD but also to a external battery, something like a splitter, any recomendations?
Unfortunately this doesn’t fit the og OLED case. It does close and zipper but the thumb sticks are directly hitting the top of the case. Otherwise I think it’s perfect
Taki, thanks for the review and quick comparison to Killswitch. I'm looking at both of them and was wondering which one weighs less. Have you ever weighed both cases without any of the accessories on them (kickstand, rubber strap, front covers, etc.)?
Do any of y'all know if the cover fits with grips on the joysticks or is it too tight?
😂 I use my SD case with the front cover fine. It does zip slightly hard but not enough to pop the zipper or mess anything up. Great protection 👍
What's the front shell called on this steam deck? Is it a sticker or…
I think the issue with your front shell cover is the backplate tbh, ive got an unmodified sd and its tight and solid in place.
Hi, will this compatible with Skull & Co Dock Pro? Would it fit (the part below/under of steam deck) when docked as the Jsaux case may get in the way…
Eagerly waiting for Steam Deck 2
I originally thought that this was pretty cool, but the fact that they didn't design most of their first party accessories with the ability to use the built-in mounting mechanism is a disappointment to say the least. The bracelet is great for mounting third party accessories not designed to work with the case, but I'd rather not have to put up with that level of jank if I'm going to buy their other first party ones.
My case came with a compleat white skin.
does this case fit in the jsaux docking stations?
I was disappointed with the quality of this case compared to the Killswitch. This one is flimsier plus has significant seam lines on the side of the handles. The only reason I'm keeping it is because of the attachable cooler.
The only reason I don't like the transparent plastic backs, for the same reason I hate transparent phone cases, is that they turn yellow over time and require cleaning more often. This is probably by design to work with their other transparent shells, which is fine. I have their original case and it's still in good condition.
Besides being modular, my favorite addition is the top having button covers vs the old model being too concave to press. Can't wait to see what 3D printed add-ons people come up with.
Honestly, probably the only case/accessories worth buying. $80 either gets you a dock or a dock/case/kickstand/modular thing that can strap anything to your steam deck
I just got it, and the top lip of the case is kind of annoying when I go press the start and select buttons. Maybe I'll get used to it.
NOT THE LITTLE HAND!!! ❤
The main issue I had with the case is the stand. Only had it about a month and the kickstand is loose and won't stay closed all the way
I wanted to get one but then I went to read reviews, into reddit, trust pilot, and now I am put off by all the bad reviews and everyone not getting their orders. I also don't know why, but most of the good chargers like the sharkgeek are all out of stock indefinitely which is a shame.
holy shit you have a son!!!! Mind Blown
Hello just wanna ask, has anyone tested the temps of SD with Jsaux backplate and Jsaux mod case? did it decrease increase temp? or does it function the same?
Thanks in advance
bring a whole new level of itts so easy my 5 year old can do it love the video keep making
You should have tested it with the blue keys, the case doesn't fit does extended buttons and it doesn't seem like it's mentioned anywhere. 🤕
Thanks for the video… I don’t really want all of the attachments, just something to protect it from a fall and a kickstand. The fact that this is $30 compared to dbrand’s $80 (with adapter for dock), made it an easy choice.
The blue clear shell buttons do not work with this case
Why do you sound different when your son is around?
I think the end user considering this over the killswitch includes the emulator scene trying to overclock and push the thermal throttle, for example switch exclusives that have issues getting more than 15 fps. SO, we do wish you actually locked the fan and tested the thermals w/ the cooling unit under stress testing. 😂
The tiny hands of your son were too adorable XD
Love you're doing ads now, I bought some cases and skins from your store link from the ad, hope it helps
