I saw something exactly like that cigar shaped object 5 yrs ago in Kansas on a clear blue sky day. Don't know what it was, but going the opposite direction was a jetliner seemingly about the same altitude. The airplane kind of helped me determine how big the object was. It looked like highly polished aluminum and if it made a sound I couldn't hear it.
