"Uhh, what!?
Sonic Unleashed is 4 out of 5?
Yeah, lemme see is this guy got a skill issue or not"
Ign is the worst reviewer on Sonic the Hedgehog
I honestly think that the lengths of the stages in Unleashed are fine. I mean, yeah, the Werehog stages could've been shorter, but I don't think anyone would want a 30 minute Daytime stage or a 5 minute Nighttime stage, either.
Honestly, the guy that played the sonic unleashed played as if he had never played Sonic before
Lol 6:30
Ign is just untrustful they gave gran turismo 7 a 1.7/10 saying the micro transactions ruin the game when i’ve been playing the game for 2 years without encountering any 💀💀
Sonic Pocket Adventure deserves that 10/10
Are you saying IGN’s reviews are horrible or the Sonic games they are reviewing are horrible?
Not to go out on a limb for ign, but I think Sonic's Pocket adventure might have scored so highly because in 1999 that would have been a very impressive experience on a Hand Held, just for context. Also, the character model for Sonic 4 looks like the evolved form of a game had on Game Gear as a kid called Sonic 3d Blast, which was not an isometric platformer like the Genisis version, but segas weird attempt at superimposed 3d graphics a la donkey Kong Country for Snes. Looks like that sprite with extra frames hahah.
Has anyone else ever thought that Sonic 4 is the prequel to Sonic Adventure? Both episodes have the Modern Sonic models, but nobody talks, similar to the Classic characters (unless you count Sonic and Amy in Sonic CD).
Yeah mephilis might have been able to kill sonic, but the things ign has done to him, they might just be his biggest villian
No, don't worry, your opinion on Sonic Unleased isn't biased, it's IGN that's biased, and in the worst way to!
Sonic 4 episode 1 has some of the worst visuals I've ever seen, the hell was that guy talking about?!
To me Free riders is -infinite/10
IGN:
runs into wall because they forgot to press the jump button once
"THIS GAME IS DIFFICULT!"
if i had to choose a review to agree with id say freee riders. as a freee riders fan i know that if you know thee way the kinect works a little, u can know how to move so the kinect reads it properly. id eeven peerssonally give it an 8.5
To be frank, I agree with the IGN review: day stages are good, but everything else is tedious and the performance on consoles is terrible.
Leave them alone. Just because they have different opinions, doesn’t mean they suck. I honestly agree with their sonic 4 Review.
This video in a nutshell: skill issue
Swap Unleashed and Sonic 4’s ratings, just subtract 3 for Sonic 4’s new rating
Can’t spell ign without ignorance
IGN(orant)
The unleashed reviewer legit makes me want to break my phone
I like Sonic Unleashed alot but i do have a few problems with the game. Hopefully i dont come across like that infamous IGN reviewer that gave the game a 4.5 because that score is just ludicrous, but i'll try my best to explain my problems with the game. I want to get the great things the game did right out of the way first to prove that i dont hate this game.
For one, this game has the best boost levels in the entire series (im looking at you Skyscraper Scamper, Dragon Road, Rooftop Run and Jungle Joyride🥰🫡). Second, it has amazing graphics that hold up very well today. Third, the story is pretty good (not better then SA2 in my opinion) but a good story nonetheless. Forth, Endless Possibility is a fantastic song for the game and i get pretty emotional during credits when the song plays (i personally still like Live and Learn more). Also, the rest of the soundtrack is fantastic to listen to. Fifth, i love the opening cutscene for the game. It really looks like Pixar movie level quality. Finally, i like the hubs, it adds more life to the game when you explore all the unique hubs that are based on real world locations. This is kinda more of a bonus thing, but even though Amy isn't like a main character in the game, she still is a neat addition. I really like the scenes where at first Amy doesn't recognize Sonic in his Werehog form and then later when he saves her, he runs away because he is embarrassed and doesn't want her to see him like a freak. Even though you have to talk to Professor Pickle every now and then to get the next objective, Amy is always right outside of the lab and if you talk to her, depending on where you just came from, she will give you unique dialogue about that location. She even asks Sonic on a date at the end of the game before starting Eggman Land which i think is pretty cool. (I always say yes because i love SonAmy💙🩷)
Now its time to talk about the problems i have with the game. First, i really am not a fan of the Werehog. The puzzles are basic, the platforming is fine i guess (although sometimes his stretchy arms just dont grab on to poles and ledges like they are supposed too) there're too many enemy arenas that really slow the levels down and finally, if i really wanted to play a beat'em, i would play Batman Arkham or something (Before i hear skill issue, i let you know i have S ranked all the night stages). Second, i dislike the medal collecting. Im fine with collectibles by them self, but the problem with medals in this game is that you HAVE to collect a certain number of them to beat the game, and its not a small number. There are 200 sun and moon medals respectively, you need 80 moon medals to do the last night time stage and 120 sun medals to do the last daytime stage which is really steep especially on a first playthrough when you just wanna play through the game. (Before i hear skill issue brought up again, I'll have you know that i have beat Sonic Unleashed multiple times so just because i memorized where the medals are doesn't make the medal system any less flawed). These next couple issues are more nitpicks then real problems but wanted to point them out anyway, i think its stupid that the boost button is the same same button as the homing attack and the drift does not work as well as it should (This i can kinda see may be a skill issue, but i feel like the drift is meant to help you make turns while boosting, the problem is that the turning isn't sharp enough because you going so fast while boosting so its almost not worth drifting).
Ok, im done. Im so sorry for the long comment, i really hope i didn't come across as a hater and that i jinda made my points clear about what i like and dislike about the game, but if i didn't, then i apologize. Have a great day or night 💜🥰
So, do you really think that all Sonic Games are good? what about Sonic 06? Huh? you are a hypocrite
As someone who is only a casual fan of Sonic who legitimately sucks at boosting in Unleashed (except when I can get away with it) even I can agree that review is completely full of crap. Honestly, Sonic Unleashed surprised me with how fun it was even though I quite a lot in the Day Time stages due my hilarious misuse of the boost system, I never found that to be an issue at all because of how quickly you can pick up the pace in the game and blaze through it. As for the Werehog stages about the worst thing I can say about them is they're kinda slow but I never even found those to be offensively bad.
Overall I think Unleashed is a pretty fun game.
To be fair, they aren't the only ones who over-rated Sonic 4. It didn't get really hated until much better classic style games like Generations came out
The fact that the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed got a higher score than the Xbox 360 version is honestly saying something
