I was so frustrated the entire time I played it (3h). The enemies were more annoying than fun. I made some "progress".. but it didn't feel like progress. It's just another office room & more annoying enemies. The building felt like a maze, you either got lost or ran in circles. Figuring out where the other person is was awful:
"Where are you?" "In some room." "Where?" "You go through a door." "Which door?" "Idk. I was just walking in a random direction & found it."
I'm seriously curious how the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.. Maybe this game was just not for me.
The start of the vid calling it antibiotic is the same as Hogwas-Hogwarts hahahaha

My friend and I played for like 5-6 hours in one sitting, and I was so immersed, I made my character like dr Kleiner and spoke like him 😀
Looks a lot like System Shock and Deus Ex (the original accept no substitutes).

This game is basically Half Life 1.5, exploring how Kleiner and Magnusson survived and managed to escape Black Mesa.
Still not Half Life 3.

crazy that 2 months ago i was playing Black Mesa and had the strangest urge to play a game that explores Black Mesa or **Not Black Mesa**, with more about exploration and survival than action, then a week later this game drops.
i usually always agree with your reviews. But i had to refund this game. It was extremely boring to me and had no real depth or fun gaming loop for me. Just my opinion. Feels overhyped.
Also very pricy for something this simple.

This game is being held back a lot by the lack of funding and the low amount of people working on it.
I sure hope the dev doesn't just grab the money and run. Most low budget titles end up with the dev just not hiring more workers and either continuing to develop the game at a snail's pace or just abandoning it. The best thing he could do is expand now that his game has become a hit.
I hope a few years down the line they make an Abiotic Factor 2 in a Half-Life 2 Ravenholm style world
I expected to see everyone in the comments asking why the monsters look like straight up TREMORS rip-offs, but I guess if you wait long enough you can just re-use old monsters like they are new and the next generation will never know the difference.
This could be something great, but the survival genre is overcrowded asf. The game industry is so diluted nowerdays. Who even wants to sift through the garbage to find the gold.
Tried it for a bit, it's not amazing.

Ive never understood how people with 6-10 hours of gameplay have the audacity to think they are qualified to give any kind of review on a game. Come back after 50+ hours or a full playthrough. Reviewers these days… "Well guys i enjoyed the tutorial. You should buy this game!"
