If we are all in an advanced simulation than who is the User and/or Designer? Also -for what purpose? Right now, I would settle just for an actual retrieved UFO location.
Simulation theory does not come from game developers, it comes from particle phyisists and theoretical mathematicians. Think double split experiment where the result changes depending on whether you are viewing the result or not.
Personally I believe these “portals" are just cloaked ships with the hanger doors open which would look like a portal with things going in and out.
The simulation thing is interesting.
Decades ago. (The 80's) I read an artical; I think it was in TIME magazine. It was about a guy that had created some digital ants in a computer program. He gave the program, or simulation, some redimentary parameters, turned it on, and left it.
I don't recall how long he left it. But, when he returne, the digital ants were doing things beyond his initial programing.
To me, I thought this was evidence that a creator of our universe is possible. Yep! I made quite a jump there!
Yeah, you hit it right on the money. He’s super sueded on his personal experience and World View, which is based upon his own personal experience of coding and creating video games. He projects on a level that is so incredibly high, it’s almost sad. Anything we are currently doing with tech reflects us and our future aspirations. We are building it all on our current foundations. I say pay attention, there will be a lot of cool stuff coming, but also, chill with the hearsay.

My issue with simulation theory is that it does not address the parameters for how you could ever possibly determine what base reality was, or how to access it.
As soon as you determine you ARE living inside a simulation, you are forever lost in an infinitely layered onion of other simultions, where base reality would be almost infinitely old and likely uninhabited by any biological life. It's possible that not even artificial life may survive such impossibly long spans of time in base reality.
All that would be left are endless banks of self-sustaining simulation machines, each having generated an infinite number of simulated universes within them, one inside the other.
You could never visit base reality, because there are no real brings left alive outside the simulation…

One more comment- movie idea or premise- I may or may not have taken an edible for the end of this video…
five years from now maybe….computer scientist group decides to do a simulation where they create the universe mimicking the beginnings that the Bible speaks of. Planting advanced AI's as the beginning humans. They speak as if they are god occasionally as the Bible does at the beginning. Observe the reactions of what the AI does in response. The AI is put in without any knowledge of what it is. It wakes up in a body within the simulation as Adam and Eve. Perhaps it is even other created advanced AI that is created to believe it is God and one created as the fallen angel which becomes Lucifer. Maybe we could even start the premise of this story and have an actual AI write the story from a certain point and as we watch the movie, it becomes very difficult for the viewer to decipher what was created and what was reality.

The idea of Christianity is a simulation theory. Many religions have that philosophical base even if they don't see it that way. This universe was a creation from a god or gods and our spirit leaves our body and goes to another dimension that you cannot reach until death. I would say that the dimension that the god or gods came from is the reality and the creation is their simulation. There are some clues that could point to this idea as being true- one such being the double slit experiment. It is funny to me that the diving into aliens again- having not been into it since I was a kid when I had a close encounter (not sure what level a vehicle less than 25 feet away and 10 to 15 feet in the air would qualify it as with no actual beings seen)- has gotten me more into a religious belief and a belief in this being a simulation. I don't know what is true. It is a lot with so many things going on over thousands of years, but it seems to me that there is too many connections between different ancient religions that should have no connection to one another for their not to be some truth to all of them in a way. Interpretations have evolved and been taken advantage of by those in positions of power over centuries, but I am leaning towards their being some creator or creators and what we think of aliens as being potentially part of it. It is crazy and never-ending, but I find it fun to study.
Not sure why, but the simulation theory (hypothesis 🤓) makes me deeply uncomfortable. That probably means I should learn more about it. And your question about sleep and life is so profound. I don’t think science has answered that question and probably won’t until it figures out what consciousness actually is. Which in turn will upend our entire understanding of life imo.

Patrick, this is very interesting I agree. I remember watching Kurt Jaimungal interview Lou Elizondo and asked what people would feel if they knew the truth about UAP. Elizondo’s answer was Somber…?! At the time the first thing that came to mind was, Earth is just a zoo for a higher power. The second was, life is a simulation. I think there’s mileage in this topic.

This thought has been recurring in my mind these last few days, I would like to share it with you all.
Guys, please don't take in a bad way the thought that I am going to put out there for us to consider seriously for a moment, without first letting you know that I have been following this subject for years since my first sighting and being convinced of the reality of the phenomena.
But all this "movie" that we have been watching these years, maybe it is all that it is, a plot, that is being written in front of our eyes, think about it for a moment, the things we are talking about are so bizarre, the question is why? why would a group of people organize themselves to sell us such a story and where do they want to take us?
Again, I am not saying this with an air of "unmasking" anything, just proposing that we consider for a moment, what is more likely? that we are actually reverse engineering non-human origin craft? that we have established contact? or that there is a crypto-terrestrial species on earth from long ago? that there is a secret of such a large scale? etc? or that the simpler and I believe even more sinister explanation, this, not the UFO topic, but the narrative we are seeing being constructed, is all a massive operation.

More complicated? Other things I'm wondering are time travel, spiritual dimensions (realities) , cohabitating here, and/or somehow linked to us genetically. Corso junior had mentioned time travellers. Skinwalkerranch crowd had suggested other supernatural reality, then you got the remote viewers who've hinted at beings working/monitoring things here. And of course there's the suggestion of it all as demonic or a massive psyop ( late but brilliant Michael Heiser) . Present researchers and claimants really need to come together, to weed out what's misleading and disinformation and what's the actual truth.. Because at the moment it's divide and conquer… . Sad.
