If the ps4 pro offered free sync support like one x then the performance mode would feel better. So staying in quality mode for improved resolution atleast and even frame times.

Ps5 performance mode makes it feel like a pc game
Unless you can’t get a locked 60, just stick with 30 fps. Orrrrrr get a PS5 and have a way better gaming experience. Unless you like playing a console that sounds like a jet engine while it struggles to run this game
But these will both pale in comparison to the inevitable ps6 remaster, not to mention the ps6 pro enhancements
