Theres a fish easily accessible in the kitchen of the stockpot inn, down in the drain.

sometimes i wonder how people playing this when it first came out were supposed to figure out some of these arbitrary, unclear puzzles during a time when high speed internet and guides were not really a thing.

You don't really need ANY prep. Everything is optional, nut just nuts, and would require less work than you've done. All the items are available in the well except the starting doors.
