Hi Hylians!
I just wanted to add a mistake in the video. It's a mistake, but not really a mistake. Without going into details, Lynels do not upgrade depending on how many you defeat and how many divine beast. Well it does, but not exactly that.
Each enemy you defeat will add an invisible counter. each enemy has their own individual number. When you reach a certain number, enemies will upgrade. Lynels, and Divine beast just have a big number =P
I hope this makes sense! =)
You can watch this!

Even before I got really good at the game lynels where really easy
Hi. Great video! I have two questions: 1. Some people claim that you can mount the lynel if you sprint up to the lynel after dodging a head on charge. I‘ve tried this many times, but never get a mount prompt. Does this actually work? 2. Is there a limit to the number of critical shots you can give the lynel to the back of the head when in bullet time after getting thrown off the lynel‘s back. I always only get two critical hits in bullet time even if I continue shooting in the back of the head.
Freakin' aimbots I tell ya.
They’re pretty easy to beat once you know most of their patterns. I mostly die because of get greedy damage like using my arrows against him until i get punished for it. You’re main uses is to use parry and dodge and use the strongest weapon when you mount a lynel for extra damage. Or you can take the easy way out and just use ancient arrows on them although you wont get any items from them (understandably)
At the end of the day, I’ve grown to enjoy fighting them. I feel like they’re very fair and all of the damage you take happens because of your mistakes. And you always get rewarded if you dont use ancient arrows. They’re challenging but very fair imho
I think Ocarina of Time is still my favorite Zelda ever but fighting Lynels will never get old. Theyre fun and terrifying and every second is engaging. Unless you just murder them straight up with an Ancient arrow but no loot will drop
I need a video that shows will slow down and show me at what frame (lynel movement) do I parry or dodge
The first Lynel that I killed was the one with the shock arrows for the zora's quest. The thing is, I did a lot of alternative paths in the early game, scaling mountains instead of following road paths, so I hadn't found Hestu at this point.
Also, I didn't know how to parry (only flurry rush) so it took me a couple hours to be able to defeat the lynel before all my weapons breaking, but it was very satisfying to pull off.
Excellent video. I have ultimately resorted to permanently stunlocking them though. If you shoot it in the face it slumps down for a few seconds where I get off several shots, then when he gets back up I shoot him in the face again right after he shakes his head a bit. If you hit right after that he simply gets stunned again. If you use a bow that shoots multiple arrows this is extremely easy to pull off if you have half decent aim, and I've killed many Lynels that way without giving them a chance to even more around. It feels silly, but it makes farming them a breeze.
How to beat lynels if i got only 45+ damage swords? With out breaking them
Use stasis if you need a break.
The thing is that i fought lynel for over 30+ times..and i died only 2 times..my first lynel fight was a white lynel after i fought all divine beasts..I just farm swords, crushers and shields..still didnt beat ganon..😂
My 1st run with him : He smack me so hard, I sent flying away down a little hill (Faron), then suddenly It's raining ligthning… I am like WTH, it was clear weather lol
PS : Yeah I know different colour of weather and buff, but in the heat of battle u kinda stunned.
Ong i finally beat a sliver lynel without dying and i didn't even go for a easier red lynel OMG
I have never dodged or parried and I've been playing for ages.
How do you know if your shield is strong enough? I don't have the hylian shield yet 😆
I killed my first Lynel last night, but I wasn't using flurry rush as I didn't want to break my weapon. Dodging its attacks weren't working for me, except two backflips to avoid its jump attack and area of impact. Also, it moved too swiftly to shoot it in the face.
When it charged with its weapon or bull-rush, my favoured method was to parry and then use those few seconds to shoot it in the face as it was recovering. THAT was my window of opportunity to mount up and whale on its back!
Still took a while, as the strongest weapon I have on me is a Lizalfos tri-prong boomerang with 36Atk and this red Lynel have 2000HP to whittle down!
Motaro from Mortal Kombat 3 was easier to beat than these jokers, and they're the same species! LOL
While fighting the silver Lynel I used up 15x +12 heart meals the first half of his health. The second half, not one! As soon as I started using jump back instead of to the side. It's so much easier now!!! Only 1 divine beast down so far though.
I HAD NO IDEA YOU HAD TO JUMP BACK TO DODGE HIS HORIZONTAL ATTACK!!!!! I feel dumb now.
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
100% do not let them use bows
Thanks for telling me how to beat 1 but not actually showing 1 being beat. 😰
Very helpful but I still can't beat the first lynel north of the Land of Zora on the mountain. I'm so terrible lol
also lynels have no stun frames unless you parry stun or freeze
Quick tip with the 3 swing attack if you flurry
………..HMMMPH,WHY THERE'S NOTHING ABOUT BOOMERANGS BECAUSE THEY ALLOW TO KEEP IN INSIDE BLIND RANGE..YESSS……I JUST WAS KEEPING SPAMMING NORMAL HITS UNTIL READY,HEHE
………….AND I DONT KNOW HOW ACTUALLY MANY PPL FIGURED THE SAME,THO…………..BC THAT'S JUST EASIER
=AND YEAH………….I DONT KNOW HOW TO PARRY/FLURRY RUSH SO JUST MAKING STRATEGIES HOW TO BEAT JUST WITH STASIS+,BASIC ATTACKS AND LOTS OF RUNNING,HEHE
……AS WELL AS I'M ALL ABOUT YOU MUST GATHER ARROWS TO SPEND only ON GUARDIANS AND KOROK SEEDS,REMEMBER!!!!!! ………..
…….I DONT KNOW…..I MANAGED TO KILL LYNEL ONCE BY JUST SQUEEZING TO THIS SO TIGHT SO I WAS INSIDE ATTACK RANGE AND COULD ATTACK NON STOP WHEN ALL IT'S ATTACKS WERE HITTING THE AIR
=YEAHHH,SURPRISINGLY,LIZAL BOOMERANGS ARE TOP TIER…HEHE…..AND HOW MUCH PPL GUESSED THIS AS WELL, THO
Thanks for the video I defeated my second(my first one I spammed bomb arrows )😂
I simply run away from them 🙂
over 100h and was terrified of lynels, never tried hitting one since my first death. Just now i got drunk and killed two silvers in a row
How do you Get 400+ arrows?
Huh! I never thought that running in would be the best option! I always hide and try and give myself the most distance, seems like thats the best way to die to them.
Thanks! I’ll let y’all know how it goes 🙂
Well how can beat it if i dont have the arrow I'm bow button is not working
