The Red Magic 9S Pro series is launching on July 3, and today, we learned just how powerful the new nubia gaming smartphone will be. The phone is coming with a “Leading Version” of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is the same overclocked CPU as in the Galaxy S24 phones.
Today, the phone was benchmarked on AnTuTu, and the platform posted the result on its Weibo page, revealing that the nubia Red Magic 9S Pro+ version can reach nearly 2.4 million points, the highest yet from a smartphone.
AnTuTu benchmarks includes four components – CPU, GPU, memory speed and user experience fluidity. The processor is 1x 3.39 GHz Cortex-X4& 3x 3.1 GHz Cortex- A720 & 2x 2.9 GHz Cortex-A720 & 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A520, and the graphics unit is Adreno 750, which we know is boosted to 1 GHz frequency.
These are both in line with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that we tested earlier this year with an AnTuTu v10 result just above 1.8 million.
The difference all the way to 2.37 million comes from the fact that nubia used a device with 24 GB LPPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage. We can also expect the gaming-centric phone to feature an advanced cooling system that will let it push the hardware for longer without worrying about throttling.
ZTE nubia Red Magic 9 Pro, capable of reaching 2.1 million on AnTuTu
The ZTE-owned brand is yet to release a Pro+ version of the Red Magic series outside of China, though.
We are however guaranteed to see the nubia Red Magic 9S Pro go international.
