JSS is right in this (shocker, I know) about the ending. It's not thank god for them. It's thank the gods for those who came forward, who will come forward.
As far as i know, the law IS catching up with the internet, what with Data Preservation being actively attacked more (ofc it couldnt be in a good way)… curious how/why the "the money-bags of 'kid toy TV games'" still act with impunity.
Almost like the law is being usurped, hmm
Women lie about sexual assault, its a fact, and almost none of them face the consequences of their crime. Men even rich and powerful men, should not be tried in the court of public opinion.
It is not Youtube or any other media outlets job to try convict and sentence these men for there crimes, if there they committed crimes at all. I could not find a single instance of any executive at Ubisoft having been convicted of a sexual assault, arrested yes, convicted no. Just like ME2 there were many men accused without proof, lost there jobs, wives, even lives as some committed suicide after being accused of such acts. Our attitude of "beleive all women" is about as sexist, authoritarian and easily corruptible a statement as I've ever heard from the left.
New update: Some of these scumbags have been arrested.
Jim orgin story
Fuckin A!
Stephanie, the problem with this video is that thinking about the world makes me sad.
People I know never talk about these bad practices. It's pretty sad
Considering the sheer mediocrity of Ubisoft's games, a boycott can not really be considered as a loss for consumers.
Stop playing identity politics Jim. It's an ideology
NGL, Someone is gonna acquire Ubisoft soon…probably Amazon, they are likely gonna take the activision way out of this
I rewatched this video because I kept forgetting the specifics of what Ubisoft did even though what Activision/Blizzard was responsible for was still fresh in my head and I have to question why I can remember one clearly but not the other. Was it because one was more recent than the other, though not by much? Was it because there were so many similarities that it can be a little confusing trying to remember which did what? Was it because Blizzard's sins went a bit further, with someone literally dying? Was it because the media continued to cover the Blizzard stuff, whereas the Ubisoft things just kind of faded from popular conversation. Probably a little bit of everything, but regardless, neither of them should be forgotten or forgiven. Thanks for making this episode. It serves to both get the word out and be a constant reminder if things do start to fade from people's memory. I haven't bought anything from either company and will continue to do so.
People evidently don't give a shit who is getting fucked up as long as Assassins Creed drops every year. One year later Ubisoft is still chugging along and nobody cares. None of these companies will change until their bottom line is affected. And that requires people to have empathy for the victims and refuse to buy their products. Good luck with that.
holy shit i went to a job interview for ubisoft sofia once. not surprised at all that racism and homophobia were present, that's a wider issue with our country as a whole where casual racism and bigotry is socially acceptable and acknowledged. For fucks sake, there's even a NAZI PRIDE PARADE that takes place every year in Sofia. Not excusing ubisoft at all here, but the problems with ubisoft sofia extend much further than ubisoft themselves. Still, the higher ups in ubisoft should've done SOME kind of background check before hiring the literal neo-nazis that plague our streets and that many leftists such as myself try to get rid of.
are you gay?
Jim not saying AAA in a goofy voice is fucking genuinely terrifying
Are you ever going to release your Assassin's Creed Unity review?
It's important to point out that he left 'The Escapist'.
James Stephanie Sterling refusing to pull punches is a sight to behold. Thank God for JSS.
Oh my goodness JSS, I didn't even know. I'm glad I jumped the Escapist ship as soon as I could watch you, Extra Credits, and LLR elsewhere
ubisoft sucks completely
Activision got outed for doing the same thing.
The rant of this channel has aged so well that it stays so young
