I thought they made it so you have to start a new character every season? Didnt everyone quit when s1 launched?
Always interesting with the launch videos to now. Game defiantly is better, but its not great yet.
Cringe
No search bar isn't because its on console. Consoles benefit from it too….
I appreciate someone is able to give a positive review, because I have regretted purchasing the game. I am listening to your opinions, and trying to figure out if I am missing, or I truly think it is a mediocre game.
$GME to the moon
I bought a series x yesterday with this game bundle. Should i play diablo IV or is it worth it?
cant belive we talking about this 150$ later. The money isnt even my issue, my hype was threw the roof for that one and what now=( 0 progression
Glyph nerf explains why I can’t push past NM t60 at level 100 in full ancestral 795-820 gear.
Enjoy it before it becomes microtransaction hell.
if i had to farm a whole new set just to defeat 1 boss im alt f4ing and uninstalling
Tldr; don't buy
great video
I stopped playing this game after a week because of the stupid scaling & crap loot. They PROBABLY will fix these two things in about 5-6 months.
$40 game priced at 89.99 disgusting
Game looks like an old diablo was remade and this is what we got :S 10/10 would NEVER spend full pricetag on that shizz xD
Level 90, still no unique pants.
Just an awesome review. Loved it, especially the 85 / 90 / 95 boss encounters.
I love the look and feel of the art and story, but the gear farm on this game kills it for me. The map makes me feel like I am playing world of warcraft but with a top down camera. I’m over level 50 farming level 41 gear. I’d rather farm rift keys and get loot based on the higher grater rifts
I do over “I must use wrong gear to up my item level.” Even though I hate the cartoon look of D3, D4 just isn’t it for me yet. Once they fix and change things like they did with D3 I may like it.
Gonna just say this now. No matter how hard a dev tries, they will never please everyone. I see a lot of people complaining how grindy the endgame is. But what if it wasn't grindy.
"I reached level 100 after 1 – 2 weeks of playtime, and now I have nothing to do but pvp"
Either way, if you smash the living shit out of the game it would end up boring no matter what they do.
Your problem is, you are playing the game too much and running out of stuff to do. Go and play some other classes, or make alt of your current class and build it different, maybe try making your own builds see if you can discover a new meta (thats part of the fun of these types of games). Maybe even try some other games while you are waiting for more content. By the time you are done playing around with all this other stuff, World tier 5 will probably be out, and a wealth of new systemstweaked drop ratesbalance updates for pve and pvp added through seasonal updates. The game has not even been out that long, as a few others have said in these comments give them some time.
I love how people are complaining about waiting for good gear to drop in diablo 4, these people obviously never played diablo 2.
I played diablo 2 in 2000 (also have resurrected), I still haven't seen shako after reaching max level many times. Imagine killing mephisto over 1000 times on multiple classes, and it drops literally nothing you want. I even tried running an item find frenzy barb to farm mephisto to increase my odds of finding shako, still didn't find it XD.
If you are bored, just level up your other classes. Then grind your main for a bit, if you have no luck go grind another class keep switching it up. If you are just grinding the same class over and over, pressing the same abilities over and over etc of course it is going to be boring. That is the beauty of the renown system in this game, you can get your other classes to endgame super fast and just switch to another class when the game starts feeling monotomous. Or, go play some pvp for a bit when you get bored of grinding, the pvp is quite fun. That is what I am going to do, as soon as I reach world tier 4 on sorcerer I will farm for a bit until I feel like I am not getting any upgrades then play some pvp or go play some of the other classes rinse and repeat. By the time I hit the gear wall on each class, season 1 will arrive and there will be balance changes + tweaks to loot drop rates + more content. If you are unwilling to do that and just want to spam 1 class, you have only yourself to blame for why the game is boring.
It's not like if they add more end game content that the game will be less enjoyable for the father who has a few hours to play a week. I really don't get how people grind from 70-100. Went WT 4 when I was lvl 63 or something. Got a 700+ crossbow and some other ancestral gear, put my aspects on them, rolled some affixes and haven't had any need to change that gear and I'm almost 80. Everything just melts, 60-70% of grinding is horse simulator. The core gameplay is fun but it's ruined by lack of QoL and dungeon design is tedious (lots of going back and forth). But damn is it fun to slay 100s of ad's while blasting through a dungeon when there's no backtracking.
I'll just park my rogue and maybe try another class. Game is fun until you get ancestral gear with decent rolls and slap your prefered aspects on them.
Also too tedious to experiment with builds since they cost a lot of gold to reroll.
The REAL question is… is the game replayable? Remotely as replayable as D2? Do you want to start over?
This is spot on. The problem isn’t the endgame activities, it’s the endgame itemization. By the time you reach torment 4, there’s no drop that you get that you feel is truly build changing. Sure, you have access to ancestral items that give you more power, but there’s no new legendary affix or current unique that makes you feel like you really hit the jackpot. Grinding for minuscule/incremental better items is extremely mundane. What made D2 such an epic game with 20+ years of staying power is that the game has item and rune drops that are so rare and so worthy of grinding 20+ years for.
Wonderful review. Honest and fair <3
Didnt this guy do the dungeon xp fast xp grind like everyone else in the early days to basically skip 80% of the leveling grind?
Grinded to lvl 78 and now its just pure meh. Enjoyed the story before entering nightmare though. After that not much enjoyment
Massively underrated is controller support for PC, I absolutely love it, feels way more chill to play
I’m not a big fan of the boss fights with zero mobs. I’m maining a necro and not having any corpses from melting mobs makes you feel so much weaker than you are. It feels like you’re in a race, but you have to go uphill
I’ve hated Diablo 4 past campaign, there’s nothing to do, it’s impossible for a casual gamer (98 percent of purchasers) to even get 100 on ONE character before season one is scheduled to roughly drop. Even hardcore 16-20 hours a day players are struggling, and it’s not struggling cause games difficult, it’s struggling cause about 80 percent of the time it takes to get from 1-100 has to be spent doing the same dungeon over and over. And the time required is only getting longer as blizzard keep merging the best of the already super slow leveling methods. I’ve got pieces of gear from level 62 still out stating and ilvling pieces from level 90 dungeons whilst level 80. I too did enjoy the campaign quite a lot, but that was a spec of the game and I almost feel like it shouldn’t be included any review I’d do of the game as you wouldn’t judge a chocolate bar based on the single bad one you had out of 10,000 so why do it with a game that literally is 99.99 percent running the same generic dungeon over and over and seeing an upgrade less than 1 percent of place time. Just my opinion, loved the video though.
For People with a 30XX series (speciallly rtx3060 maybe like I have) the game crashed my graphics card A LOT. It didnt happen yesterday but overall the game crashed my card around 6 times in a 4 hour session.
I heard some cards got bricked by the game aswell, better inform yourself about your card before you buy.
Dumbass People on console use search too !
This game is a joke, everyone should get a refund like I did.
My honest review, starting off with an ad for diablo 4….
Diablo is mmo but not multiplayer its so bad u dont feel multiplay at all
This review is way to positiv, especialy the part about lvling. I never played an hack & slay where lvling feelt so boring and frustrating. Btw. you do nightmare dungeon for leveling your gylphs, not xp or gear.
End game is dogshite atm…whats the point of grinding to 100. No new sctivity or raid opens up
I’ve been level 100 for 5 days now. I would LOVE to defeat lillith, but I lack gear.
I play ALOT, more than most. We’re talking 4-6 hellfire events a day, each hellfire I unlock 3-5 mystery chests each. I spam level 50 nightmare dungeons all day. I hit up every world boss and legion event that spawns. I have NOT gotten a single upgrade since around level 80, not one useable unique. I have friends in their 70-80’s getting multiple grandfather swords, or the armor pieces I need, granted I’m not counting on shako, but I haven’t gotten any at all, it’s really killing my drive to play, when it’s not me lacking skill to kill lillith, but the requirement of gear that’s just not being brained, not even 1 piece, it’s really killing me unlike any previous Diablo before.
Isn't the unique drop rate higher on higher levels? (tier 4 level 90+) It's not a rhetorical question, I'm not there yet so I don't have a clue. If it's not then that kind of sucks. Also, has Blizz lowered the Unique drop rate? My 1st treasure goblin I killed dropped 2 uniques, then haven't seen a unique from a goblin since. Maybe that was just bad luck, or good luck the 1st try, but that seems unlikely
I absolutely love the game. It's a huge improvement over D3. It's difficult to compare it to D2 because they are so different, but it's up there, but the one thing I absolutely hate so far (lvl 65) is that there are just. so. many. rare. items. You run a dungeon, you get a full inventory of rare items, then you have to read the stats on each one of them, because any rare can be crafted into a legendary, so a rare with good stats can be a game changer, and you can easily miss a best in slot just because there are so many of them. Maybe a color coding option in the menu to highlight whatever stats you are looking for would help. This could be easily implemented in the stats menu, like a checkbox to highlight the checked stats when you are hovering over the items. It would be a great quality of life improvement and it would take little to no development time.
