We leverage cutting-edge technologies and expertise to deliver solutions that address the complex challenges of modern security.Key Responsibilities:Port an extensive set of system and user-facing programs to newer Red Hat releases.Collaborate with other Software Developers to create and update software in alignment with modern standards and practices.Implement and advocate for cybersecurity practices relevant to software development in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.Utilize Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles in software development.Develop and maintain network programming functionalities.Use gcc, RPM creation, CMake, and CPack for software development and packaging.Contribute to and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment processes.Perform Linux administration tasks, with a preference for experience in Red Hat variants.Utilize C++98, C++11, and C++17 standards in software development.Develop software using the Qt framework.Write scripts and automate tasks using Python and Bash.Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.Communicate effectively and teach complex concepts to team members and stakeholders.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.5-10 years of industry experience in software development with a focus on cybersecurity.Extensive experience with Linux administration, preferably Red Hat variants.Proficiency in C++98, C++11, and C++17.Strong understanding of OOP/OOD principles.Experience with network programming and gcc.Skills in RPM creation, CMake, and CPack.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.Excellent communication and teaching skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Docker and DevSecOps practices.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.Experience with Red Hat Satellite and OpenShift.Knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps.Experience with Confluence, SonarQube, Nexus, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Knowledge of or interest in GPU architectures and algorithm development support.Skills in automated testing frameworks and practices.Skills and Attributes:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly.Why Work at Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions?Innovative Projects: Work on cutting-edge technologies and solutions that address real-world security challenges.Professional Growth: Leidos provides ample opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Collaborative Environment: Join a dynamic team of experts and professionals who are passionate about their work and supportive of each other.Impactful Work: Contribute to projects that make a significant impact on global security and safety.Competitive Benefits: Enjoy a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and flexible working hours.Diversity and Inclusion: Leidos is committed to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters a culture of respect and collaboration.This position will pay $120,000 – $140,000 per year.Original Posting Date: 2024-06-28While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 – $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
