They should have a minimum 38 players per match which would be the standard platoon size including the commander.
Making an NPC the commander will make your objectives clearer and be amazing. Imagine having Rico or Carmen barking orders at you while taking down bugs shoulder to shoulder. That would just complete the experience.
You could also have cameos from celebrities being the NPC of the month/week with different mission profiles.
To make up for the small player squad sizes they could give you automated troopers who have simple commands like cover and shoot or run and rally. The whole experience of Starship troopers is to be the lucky few to escape the meat grinder and lots of NPCs dying would complete that experience.

All of the footage is so smooth. I bought this game a couple days ago, and the performance is horrible. Like 30fps, and settings or hardware don't matter as it's a server/engine issue. Massive rubberbanding, so the input jank reaches even more ridiculous levels.
It's a phase, I guess. Just hope it gets fixed before I get bored. What terrible timing I had lmao.
I think the dev went a bit overboard with the words "Fast paced." It's way too chaotic especially getting to the drop ship part. It would have been nice if the Bugs actually swarm in larger numbers but moves slightly slower. And that screen shake luckily they gave us an option to turn it off. Just seems over done and it would be more intersecting if the game pace is a bit slower and more cinematic.
I bought it on steam and immediately requested a refund, it runs so poor on my laptop, my laptop specs are trash, unfortunately I really wanted to play it.

Man, I grew up with Starship Troopers as my favorite movie as a kid. When I heard about the game, I jumped right out of my chair. It's SO awesome to relive my childhood and take part in exterminating the bug menace!
I remember finding a starship troopers PC game in the discount bin at walmart in the early 2000s for like $7 Of course I bought it only to get home and realize my dads computer could not handle loading the amount of bugs on the first level. Finally got to play this starship troopers game last weekend and it was glorious.
Be sure not to mention the actual author and book which is not that campy, pal.

But there is ONE GIANT problem here – Atmospheric pressure on Mars is 10hPa, highest values in deep valleys 30hPa, and highest mountains almost zero. 10 to 30x lower than on Mount Everest (5miles). And 100x lower than on sea level on Earth. Meaning – no aliens, no growing potato by "The Martian", no giant ants. And most importantli almost BLACK sky. In comparison Earth's atmosphere is 100km thick, 1000hPa at sea level and there is water vapour to reflect sunlight at bright sunny day. This game, just like movie was all based on giant lie told in 1975 they had to continue ever since mistake 😉

Ignore this video and give this game a hard pass at the moment. The devs are pretty damn rude and ignorant as well considering they have banned people for giving feedback. If you mention where the majority of the hackers are coming from it's a ban for instance. The game also lacks A LOT of content and diversity at the moment to warrant a purchase.
This is really fun game. Can't wait them to finish it.
