Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Helio G91-powered Redmi 13 4G last month, and today, the brand followed up with a 5G version having the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Engine) SoC at the helm.
The Redmi 13 5G boots Android 14-based HyperOS and comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. The smartphone is built around a 6.79″ FullHD+ 120Hz LCD with 550 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and wet touch support. Additionally, the display has a punch-hole for the 13MP selfie camera.
On the Redmi 13 5G’s rear side is a glass panel sporting three circles – two for the cameras and one for the ring flash. The primary camera uses the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. The second camera is a 2MP macro unit.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,030 mAh battery with 33W charging. Redmi says the bundled 33W adapter can fill the battery up to 50% in 30 minutes. Other highlights include a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR Blaster, an IP53 rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi 13 5G comes in Hawaiian Blue, Orchid Pink, and Black Diamond colors with two memory options – 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, priced at INR13,999 ($170/€155) and INR15,499 ($185/€170), respectively. It will go on sale in India starting July 12 through Xiaomi’s Indian website, Amazon.in, and retail stores.
