Man, not only do the graphics feel outdated and off, but the music is way out of place and wrong, too. Even the gunplay is sluggish and off. It feels more like a knock off than the original.
The bossfights against the big four were actually pretty awesome by design. It sucks that they were really underutilized as characters– I was curious to know why Yensen had such bad blood with Grave, but he was just deleted from the story entirely without saying anything. What is that. lmao Turonty is probably my favorite bossfight simply for how long and grueling it felt. Idk if it was on purpose, but I just like how he forced you to play by his pace and had absolutely no mercy with those flying balls. tbh I did not think to use Graveyard against him lmfao, probably would've made it a lot easier. It was satisfying to finally beat him and the music was dope too. I freaking love the OST of this game– did you guys know that the Mega Man BN and DMC composers collaborated on this??
Wait, there isn't a fight against Bunji? That… is a baffling exclusion. That little rival fight against him was always the best part of the previous games, ESPECIALLY for Overdose. I know it wouldn't work given how the story plays out, but having the trailer show him getting into a fight as he's approaching Grave make the exclusion feel like a cock-block. And this is coming from someone who really likes the game.
despite the better graphics, animation and gameplay wise this is a step backwards from Overdose, not to mention the dialogue being the worse of the bunch really?! kicking a rocket instead of firing it like a normal unstoppable killing machine he is back then?
i have to take one step at a time with this game conisdering im doing hard mode and jesus fucking christ man it's just retardedly ridiculous…. the platforming, the laser dodging, and the boss fights. it's exhausting.

the game feels like a indie game on 2016
This game feels like it was released in the wrong era like it’s from the early 2000s. Makes it feel original and nostalgic in design
The sewer boss on the hard difficulty is no joke unless you upgrade your shield and bullet damage to at least level 4-5
What a failure this game will always be.
I like how they brought back one of the boss themes from Overdose for Zell's battle.
