When I first played Odyssey I immediately chose Cassandra because she's the only option with any fuckin personality. She's obviously the one created for the game while they chose generic white guy asset #4 to diminish her. Like none of the game really makes sense with that guy
but the most " alpha males" assassin's wasn't even white! "ezio an bayek
The worst part is even today women and marginalized folks who are witnesses to horrible acts wont come forward because they are afraid for their jobs, so often victims are called liars and wont be believed. I myself have talked to so many women and trans folks who hated the toxic culture and barely tiptoed around the subject to me out of fear because I was a manager. Usually we would vent loosely to each other and end off with "ahhh well… It sucks but what can we do? At least we have 6 weeks vacation…"

I don't care the "diversity" or the sexual perversions or now called "sexual preferences" of the developers. As a gamer I care about quality of the games and not woke or lefties ideas in their games.
I don't like the sociopathic behaviors at the top of game companies. I also don't like the wokeness in the game industry. Games and game companies are going downhill in the west partially because of these influences. I believe we need to get back to what gamers want and get back to pushing the boundaries of making the next gaming masterpieces. I also believe we need to desperately remove all politics from gaming and remove anything remotely related to any sort of tribal warefare and get gamers to be reunited into a gaming community as they once did in the past. I remember when people used to hate gamers. I also remember when being a game desiger was a new field and many people used to look down on it. I also remember in the past people who were brought up with games found a community they could be apart of; commonly gamers were the outcasts of society who didn't fit in with any group. I believe we need to revisit what made games great, how the old gaming communities were like, and revisit what made gaming culture so great. Perhaps we need a non-centralized, objectively free-to-be-creative outside of business analytics, and get back to trying new and risky ideas. Mayne then we can make the next best games and build a better culture which unites everyone and brings everyone together.

Well I hate to break it to you, but Lara Croft and Samus Aran exist… and they existed before you guys did. And their games were and still are very popular. And this isn't even counting the indie scene. Or Silent Hill 3 which has a female protag and is one of the best in the series. Or like, any other game out there where the character doesn't have a gender.
FFS Silksong is going to have a female character who was one of the primary important characters in Hollow Knight and you're telling me it's too hard?
