Why Does Everyone HATE The Callisto Protocol?!

Fuck this game. I've been yelling and cursing so loud my neighbors called the cops and said they heard me yelling and beating my dog. Not even joking. Worst part is even after they saw no signs of abuse and I explained I was playing a video game, I don't think they believed me. Ive been playing video games for over 30 years and only one other game ever made me this furious. That game was Mega man. I actually stomped on my Nintendo and busted the case in half. At first I thought my life was over. But that damn Nintendo still works to this very day. If your gonna make a game this infuriating, at least add a 'may trigger homicidal rage or get you arrested' warning for each time you load up the game. Id rather go down on my mom while shes sleeping than open all those boxes only to have my face smacked off in wave 3 again. 😡

I think its underrated. The game is great and i think its better than Dead space with the silent issac. I took me 16 hours to complete plus the DLC which i think its good for a game of horror or we will get bored

This is NOT why I hated callisto protocol. 1) I liked the story, it was probably one if it's only redeamable qualities for me, and the only reason why I finished the game. 2) I didn't care about the frame drop from time to time, who the fuck actually gets this mad about a frame drop from time to time? I hated the game because the gameplay was goofy. The melee combat just wasn't good, and the goofy gamepley itself ruined any sense of scary atmosohere the game tried to make. "Oohhh, there's an enemy sneaking up on me? *Whack, whack, whack*" it's just not scary. And the GRP mechanics, as well were goofy. Being able to grab and throw all enemies around like you were God (aside from bosses) and insta kill them with environmental spike walls that were randomly placed everywhere doesn't feel fun to do. It feels overpowered. You are right with the parts of the story, where it sucked, I won't say the overall story sucked, it was one of the only things I thought was salvageable about the game. But the sudden "flip of the switch"😊 between jacob and dani, and the doctor suddenly helping, I agree with. But I thought the rest of the story was good.

This game won me over after i reached the store. Once i upgraded the baton and guns this game opened up and i started to really enjoy it.

Solid game and in my head canon this is a prequel to dead space.

Comparing/Expecting This Game To Be Another Dead Space Is What Doomed This Game With The Fans. Plus It Released Unfinished Missing Key Features At Full Price. Like More Enemy Types Attacking in Different Way Which Would Lead To You Dodging In Different Ways. The DLC And Patches Helped Which Put This Game At A Average Rating. A Bargain If You Bought It Now. 🤔

These controls aren't weird on purpose. They're Dead Space controls basically. I understood it right away. Holding L1 to sprint means you can easily sprint in all directions to avoid enemy attacks. It's really not anything special unless COD controls are all you know. Difficult controls on purpose is more like the original RE4. Speaking of Resident Evil, if they wanted to have a dodge mechanic, they should have borrowed from RE Revelations. You use the left stick to dodge but you have to flick it at the right time..not just hold it.

Paid 5 bucks for this. So yea, i will enjoy it will all the criticism behind because it did cost me an arm and a leg just for entertainment 😅

I bought this game for £8. I don’t think I could ever see me spending £70 on any video game. The most I would spend is on horizon forbidden west complete edition which is around £50 because I’m such a fan of the franchise. The most expensive game I bought was a new copy of plague take innocence I bought online because I couldn’t find a preowned copy anywhere. All my other ps5 games were under £20.

im really so ashamed of now a dayes reviewers…. as if like they have forgotten the taste of real gaming… F*KING liking every game that is given no honest reviews… its really not worth buying the game if whole of the game's out result is not on me… when you are putting a player in constant presure and alertness throughout the game… its justified to give them that they should have choice for the ending …. like @PRINCE.OF.PERSIA.WARRRIOR.WITHIN or@cod.blackops.2 @darksider3 @day @dyinglight1&2 @dayesgone etc. IAM Not even given a choice to fight for a last stand how come this a good game for you guyz…. damn tasteless people….

The hand combat sucks. Reloading the limited weapon selection sucks as well. Good graphics tho. The game almost never lets up with the monsters as well

I love this game, bought it on steam 75% off for $24 CAD ($17.80 USD). The stealth sucks but other than that, graphics are amazing on 3080 ti, also no bugs at all now, worth every penny

Picked my copy from Walmart on ps5 for 10 dollars so either way I don't think I'm gonna hate it

I didn't like the concept of "no maps" or "directional compass". The "manual save" is practically useless as it returns you to the last checkpoint when you reload, which means you can't take a brake in the middle of a mission lest you want to repeat 10-20 minutes of your previous gameplay. It would've been nice if your character could switch aims from right to left and vice versa. I didn't like that when you open a loot box, it auto adds the first item to your inventory (what if I don't need it?). Other than that, I like the story line.

I bought it on Xbox series x I payed full price on day one i loved the game didn’t notice any frame drops it only problem I got that’s was sad so annoying was every now and then the audio would cut out and would crackle the game still ran good no frame drops and the only way to fix it was to take the disk out and put it back in and the other issue I had was that I couldn’t get past the busted elevator every single time I would get to the bottom and the cinematic clip would start it would crash as soon as my foot hit the ground there were no updates to fixed it and it still happens maybe mydisk is defective or something but yea took me about 15 try’s to get past it once It did the game ran smooth and I beat it in a few hours also another part that really pissed me off (spoiler alert) was when you would have to save the security guard or prisoner that was trapped and would tell you to save and give steps to save him no matter what you do he dies I tried over and over to save him the game lies and he dies every time why give me steps to save him if there’s no way to save him it wasted my time replaying it over and over when there was no point 2 other then that loved the game best graphics I ever seen and would love to see a part 2 but I know that’s never happening cause of all the bad reviews that made the company go out of business and if your one of them that did this thanks 😒
