My honest opinion on valhalla is basically this. I don't like the fact that they take away all of your stuff from the main story gameplay. Specifically stat boosting armor, weapons attachments, light/heavy runic attacks, skills mods, enchantments, shield attachments. Because I would think going on a new journey they would want you to be fully equipped. But that's just my honest opinion.

Santa Monica has another hit on their hands with GOWR tbh BUT…..😂 there’s one thing about this entire experience I didn’t like that sticks out, I finished the game and 100% everything about 2 months after buying it, the amount of fights you encounter that are really designed to be hard only because your enemy can spam unblockable moves or simply step through extremely slow animation “special moves” to damage you severely while you’re literally stuck in animation and can’t even react if you wanted to. That’s about it though💯

I just started the dlc and I can say that it feels like something slapped onto the game. No real connection to the main game. It's weird how you end up there.
After how kindergarten the ending was to the main game, the effort in this dlc makes sense. It's like they quit caring about the game about 3/4 of the way through it.

As much as I hate rogue like gaming and it will keep me from playing this DLC, I am still happy they did it this way.
I got my perfect Ragnarok experience where the dreaded Niflheim section was gone, and people who loved that section get a whole DLC for them.
Am I disappointed I can’t play it? Sure. Looking at the whole picture I think it’s absolutely a win win for all of us.

Is there cross progression? I can transfer the main story ps4 data to my ps5, but i don’t see how to transfer the Valhalla data

The fact that this is free makes my day I will be playing this as well as the last of us 2 remastered Game mode no return.
What does giving us a free DLC do though? It gives millions of people who love god of war to keep loving god of war. If or when they do another one. You bet your arse everyone will still be STOKED to play it. They’re keeping their customers extremely happy. It’s a win/win.

First Skul the Hero Slayer's awesome and super cheap DLC, now GOW's Free DLC. I love game companies that love their fans back.
The only thing you need to know is if Sweet Baby Inc helped with the game. They are a cancer in gaming that needs to be stopped. Sadly people are dumb and will suck up their slop. Spend your money on something else that doesn't have DEI or ESG garbage shoved into it like Earth Defense Force 6.
