I agree. I had more fun then not playing this. Of course It was for the most part after I had unlocked most of the skills. I did like the boss designs and the big bad at the end. The movement was awesome once you got the controls down. The story could have been better for sure lol but out of a score of 10 I'd give it a 6, I'd play it again. It's no tears of the kingdom but for what it is, it wasn't as bad as everyone says.
So many people don’t even play the game let alone have the money to buy the game but call it bad because others say it
I really can appreciate this review, I personally thought the game was ok a 7 out of 10 but definitely noticed a dramatic hate wave of reviews all saying the same negative opinion wise 🤷🏾♂️

Great video Cynical! I'm just now getting around to watching this, but i'm happy to see we came to alot of the same conclusions of this game. You put into words much of the same things i thought and felt while playing this, much better than i could have! As bad as this game can be at times there's a bit more to it than just the quality of the dialogue.

The beginning is such a Huge Problem. Elden Ring wasnt perfect when It launched, the slew of early Updates Show it. Everyone was on the Bandwaggon of praising It for every small Thing they could find And ignored the Bad. Then Theres Games Like Pokemon S&V And This wich, If you ask me, YES are worse then Elden Ring but i still found much enjoyment in them And they Just got bashed for the Most minor Things, people we're nitpicking left And right. The gaming Community by And large ISNT CAPABLE of objektive rewievs on a Lot of stuff And tend to praise Twitters Overall opinion as their own. I dont Look at Scores, gaming magazines or Twitter. I buy the Game And Play it. Overhyped Games have left me dissapointed And bashed games left me surprised a Lot until i found Out that people are extremely biased And Just Like to follow the loudest outcrier Like sheep And make their opinion their own.

And my thought process is if I’m paying for a game that’s going to be 60 dollars I want it to be an 8 or higher. I don’t really have the time to play an ok game. 😅😢

Ppl who claims this game gets unnecessary hate aren't really paying attention to what ppl who's critiquing this game is saying. All across the board, most ppl who critique this game negatively goes to say the game is mediocre at best. That's not wholly bad. I played the demo and I wasn't blown away and with how excited I was for the game, I knew something was up. That being said, I think I could get SOME enjoyment from this with what little it has to offer, but there is no way I'm shelling out 70 dollars for this game. If it was cheaper, I could look pass it's flaws, but until then…..I'll just play the waiting game.
i agree, people freak out about a person who faced hardship growing up believing that they just have to take care and trust themselves and no one else. Her dialogue was believable as well as her attitude to having to be responsible for everyone else given from where she came from. Also i didn't get the whole crap between Frey and Cuff and how they're hostile, annoyed relationship was bad, literally in the context of the game that relationship makes sense.
This game was awesome I enjoyed all the way up too the end

Definitely not the worst thing ever. But MID AAA game it's going to get ridiculed to hell and back. And honestly, deservingly so
they hate this game because you play as a black woman. and we live in a world where anything even slightly different from what we're used to gets called "cringe".

My Main issue with forspoken is the MC is just an asshole with no redeeming qualities. Like OG Kratos was an asshole but he was a kinda charming asshole. Frey is JUST an asshole and mean to everyone without any character development until the very end-ish.
I'm loving every second of the game, it's so much fun, especially finding all the bosses in the open world

Basically the average cringe-worthy gen z youth isn't really my type of protagonist. Would probably mute so I can enjoy the game in peace.

I feel like Cynical missed the opportunity to state that we the player can turn Frey into a crazy cat lady via the cat chasing quests, as well as the collection of cat familiars.

Nah, the dialogue is too much. There are better ways to deliver the dialogue even if the lines are cringe.
Kingdom hearts 3 had some horrible dialogue some of the worst in a while so let’s lighten up lol and who cares if she curses a lot it’s normal
Square Enix should've made a Genshin impact competitor but with better graphics. They already have a World of Warcraft alternative with FF14 that's been ongoing for a decade it seems. But these single title games just seem extremely expensive in money and time that don't stick around for long.
