Elden Ring takes the gold

How come the elves dont look like the ones from the Witcher with pointy ears like how they were depicted in the Eddas? Also Heimdall's mount Gulltöpr is supppsed to be a stallion like in the Eddas and not a catlike creature. The game is amazing and the creatures and characters detail looks outstanding but some design choices are very odd that dont resemble how they looked like in the Poetic Edda. Another example is Sürtr (king of all Jötnar) who should be much bigger in size about the size of full grown Fenrir and should have horns on his head and look less humanoid than in the game. They shouldve consulted with Dr Jackson Crawford on this one
