'the future is now' isn't entirely correct, as the present is now and the future is still the future, which becomes the past by intersecting briefly with the present while another, different future stays in the future and the futures all kindof queue up because they can only get to the past one at a time. it's also silly, because the 'now' is by this time long ago, which makes the statement 'the future is long ago' which really stretches the definition of the word, even by 2031 standards
