After making its debut on the company’s flagship phones, Galaxy AI is expanding to several mid-range Samsung models for the first time, bringing AI-powered features to millions more customers.
This news comes from sammobile.com, which says the rollout could start this month or next month through the One UI 6.1.1 update.

Next in line to get Galaxy AI are two devices on the A series released earlier this year, the Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A35.
Sammobile reports that not every Galaxy AI feature is coming to the mid-range models. There’s no indication which ones Samsung isn’t including, but it’s almost certainly the ones that take the most processing power to run.
Older A devices may eventually get the new AI features, but those aren’t confirmed right now. It makes sense that the A55 and A35 are getting it first, as those phones have more RAM and processing power than some of their counterparts. Given that the S24 was specifically made to power all the new AI features, it makes sense not everything is headed to older devices. Right now, the most affordable phone with Galaxy AI is the Galaxy S23 FE, which currently costs $599.99.
The move to bring Galaxy AI to older devices mimics what Google did when it debuted Gemini on flagship phones in 2023 and then slowly rolled it out to other phones.
Samsung unveiled Galaxy AI at this year’s Unpacked event, highlighting features like Circle to Search, live translation, Transcription Assist, and generative editing. It was a big selling point on the S24 series, and is already in use on more than 100 million devices, Samsung says, with 100 million more planned by the end of 2024. Those numbers include phones, tablets, and watches.
