I'm a bit surprised at Sonic Frontiers apparently being popular.
Like a lot of these look like the uni project of my brother,
where there are just a lot of parkour platforms in floating in the sky.
(Working title was even "SkyRunner". No it's not the one on Google Play Store, although it does look similar)
Sure, it's probably fine gameplay wise, it just seems a bit "retro" to me and reminds me of 2000's indie games.

My first playthrough of this game I was THOUROUGHLY underwhelmed… Then I got the game on PC so I could get into modding, and had to play through the game again. I used one of the community codes to give myself the spin dash from the start, MAN it was a whole different experience. I actually like the game now (and yes… I know its "cheating" but I don't really care man. It improves the gameplay experience. I even went and 100% every area to even the score).
And lemme tell you… when modding is involved, having that crown is nice. Its an entire extra costume slot you can put whatever you want over. With all the DLC, you got 7 different skin slots, 8 if you have the mod that lets you access the japan-exclusive Korone DLC. That's 8 different characters you can switch between whenever you want!

Honestly score attacks would be so much better as a way to unlock a map in the sequel… it’s like Sonic’s running around memorizing the area. Beats botw puzzles

We 100% need some more Cyberspace levels that require the spin dash. And they should make it so that you can get the spin dash at some-point other than the END OF THE GAME. Because its annoying to complete the game and then get the spin dash just to not use it. (On a side note, any ending u complete u get the spin dash i think so which ever ending u do u get spin dash?? idk)
