The Redmi Note 14 family is coming – the Redmi Note 13 launched in China last September, and we are now fast approaching this September, which is most likely when the Redmi Note 14 will be announced for the brand’s home market.
Ahead of that moment, the Redmi Note 14 has now been certified for sale in the Chinese market by 3C. This certification has only revealed the phone’s wired charging capacity, which will be 45W.
That’s a clear step up from its predecessor’s 33W, and the Redmi Note 14 could be getting other upgrades as well – we just don’t know what they are, at least not yet.
Now that the device has started its certification dance, it will undoubtedly acquire more certifications left and right, and each of those will slowly reveal an extra piece of the puzzle or two.
Just to be clear: we’re talking here about the Chinese Redmi Note 14, with the model number 24090RA29C (this model number was rumored for the Redmi Note 14 series a while back, and the 45W charging tells us it’s the ‘vanilla’ Redmi Note 14 not the Pro or Pro+ since both of those should get faster charging).
The international Redmi Note 14, if history repeats, will arrive a few months after the Chinese one (perhaps in January), and may have differing specs, at least in some regards.
