hard to believe that Champions Ballad came out 5 years ago
As I revisit this tonight while amidst Tears of the Kingdom to remember what happened in this DLC, it makes me concerned about how long we’ll have to wait until the inevitable TotK DLC because I vividly remember wishing the Champion’s Ballad had just been part of BotW from the start. It’s weird to have gone and defeated Ganon and then play this DLC because when the voice of Zelda reassures Link that he’ll have the power to defeat Ganon, he — and you — are left standing there thinking: “um…I did already.”
I hope that the Tears of the Kingdom story-driven DLC will be more of an epilogue than something that should’ve part of the main story. Plus, as cool as it was to unlock the Master Cycle Zero, it felt a lot like finding Yoshi atop Princess Peach’s Castle in Mario 64, where he gives you I think 99 extra lives, leaving you think “um…well, that’s really cool…but I’ve already completed the whole game, sooooooo…yeah…”.

It took vme rewatching this entire play through to realise I had already beaten the DLC when it came out lmao. I didn't remember any of the trials, but I remembered the ending.

I just love the oh fuck moment of Ravali in the picture. He's more good more than he lets on. To those fans who judge characters before they get to know them, just because he salty doesn't make him evil. Despite his moral injuries, he still acts on Zelda's Stead.
