Great review Destin, I just finished Life is Strange: True Colors and now I am going to give this game a shot.
OK. I'll try it. There's not a lot of new releases right now anyway.
You really need to play with other people Destin. The co-op, totally makes this a game. Even if its just the banter, grifting, and trash talking.
There are some prompts/quick time events that have a massive impact on what happens.
Disagree with you destin I think it is a game and it's quite good that my appion
I Want to play it but i fear the wokefest ala Life IS strange 2. Should I ?
It’s a great game/experience/whatever you want to call it. I’m on the final chapter and have been sitting on the edge of my seat, basically, the whole time going through it. Great voice acting, great characters, great stories and I love the visuals. I’m hoping this turns into a long-running franchise. It is so good.
Just watching this im seeing new scenes i never encountered.
Wasn’t my cup of tea, but I can see the appeal to some. I guess if I was playing with someone else that is really into the story I can see the appeal.
I have to disagree with you on one specific point, Destin and that's the claim that failing the button prompts don't lead to different outcomes. In several poignant moments in the game failing them actually changes things dramatically.
I came away enjoying the hell outta this game. Played it on my Series X, on my phone through cloud streaming and with all the options of using the controller, my Razor Kishi and even touch controls and it played near flawlessly on all fronts.
A solid experience all around for a solid 20 hours of gameplay.
8/10
It also supports 7 players across devices. Would be interesting to see how that works.
Haven't played this. But sounds a lot like detroit become human. That game was one I didn't know what I was walking into. It's was one of the most memorable game I've ever played.
Amazing game
Destin, if you haven't played any of Quantic Dreams' games (Detroit Become Human, Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls, Fahrenheit) AND Upcoming Star Wars Eclipse the i highly recommend it. If you thought the branches were complex here then play Detroit Become Human because each playable character in that game has the same length of branch choices as As dusk falls. Yup. And there are 3 different characters
, will there be another great addition to this game as the cliffhanger as detrimental at the end of the chapter ending?
Funny how xtards like movie games now isn't it
I can’t stand the style of slide show animation! Absolutely horrible! Uninstalled
I really liked the story and the branching of the paths is really good. I've played through chapters 1-3 3 times now because of how different you can change the story. My hope and dream is one day AAA action games both 3rd and 1st will institute this type of branching storytelling.
It’s a great , storyline interesting story but in humble opinion should have been a little longer, it was too focus on the bad guys the holt brothers and the parents, warning Dale from being killed by the sniper outside , only to die inside the motel doesn’t make any sense, the story didn’t get back to Zoe until the end of book 2 and someone attacks grandpa, so it’s has a weird ending will they be some free dlc another game As Dusk Falls 2, it has me wanting more after playing through it , i don’t say it very often but the story was too short , Tyler was the true mastermind but yet Jay was the one the police officers kept going after , it needs/needed more at least one more book chapter in my opinion after finding grandpa 👴 who has no re name shot by a criminal slum .. didn’t know what to expect from it but enjoyed it not usually my type of game normally
As Dusk Falls is this year's Twelve Minutes, an Xbox game that tries to expand the artistic potential of the video game. Xbox is to be applauded for supporting games like these.
Thoroughly enjoyed this game. Easy 1,000GS
i dont really get how the download size is 70 gb
This game was very well done really enjoying it
A must play 😂😂
See this game ENCOMPASSES the problem with gaming now… We just look at games at a graphic level. We have come to a point where EXCELLENT games become shadowed because it's not "4k 120 fps" or "Because it looks like a PS3 or 360 game" (like GTA5 and Skyrim wasn't made there)…
I knew this would happen, people rushed to bash this title now the real reviews are coming out, and I have to say that MS has done far better than telltale. The art style is the only off thing about this game. There are no fairytale creatures, robots, or superheroes. Just plain regular people in a very realistic situation that gets way out of control and turns very deadly. They also do the flashbacks very well, which makes you go “oh crap, that’s why this is happening.”I feel that this is going to be one of those games that grows on people. Highly recommend people give this a try.
A few minutes into the game (or a long cut scene with QTE) I didn't think I'd play much of it. But after a bit, I couldn't put it down.
Its a great game but definitely held back by its style. If they went with a traditional run around and search method like Tell Tales the walking dead but used the water color art style it would have been just as unique but better.
I really enjoyed this game
I played it and really liked it. Had no idea what to expect and the story pulled me in. It's like all of the tell tale games, which is not a bad thing at all. I give it 😁👍👍.
Damn now I gotta try it
Man, people really don't know what visual novels are.
4 chapters in and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Unlike other multiple choice narratives like Detriot: Become Human, I enjoy that this is shorter and I already feel more compelled to replay the game and choose different options as it won't be as much of a time sink.
I was imagining this game would be exactly like you said. Gonna give it a try
Highly recommend this 'game'! I got really engrossed and completed it in one night. Going to play it again to see what's going on. Loved it. Keep up the good work!
Having it light on gameplay is smart to allow it to work across devices.
Played this through solo on console but my wife has started the first chapter on tablet after me discussing it,… now we're doing chapter two together with me using the companion app on phone.
All of that works really well,… I think any heavier gameplay elements and that wouldn't work at all.
The story carries the game, I will say some parts fall a little flat, but on the whole the decisions and flashback style works really well.
It's a solid experience all round.
So it sounds like a Telltale game basically. I like those style of games so I will probably enjoy this
Played with my wife and we enjoyed it.
It reminds me of mass effect but without the action but overall really enjoyed it
