I captured something similar a couple years ago during the Derecho that hit Nashville. (There were already a BUNCH of anomolies with the first wave that hit) but it was the following day they were calling for a second wave and after the first the city was already at 135K people without power so a second round would have devestated the city. The future cast had it at 100% chance of impacting the city too. I was watching the radar and Weather Sats. closely and around 15 to 30 min before it hits, this perfect hexagon appears directly above(around) the whole city and the second derecho miraculously pushes south of the city and we didn't get any of it. I went back and reviewed the screen shots fifty times. It was literally as if an hexagonal energy field was protecting the city from getting hit again. It was one of the strangest things Ive seen.

This hexagon is directly over the Idaho State Correctional Institution (ISCI). 50 miles from the AFB. The title is miss leading. As you can see on a simple map.
