The movie Jupiter Ascending cleared this up. Humans on earth and on thousands of other planets are merely a resource waiting to be converted into capital. The humans are harvested when the planets get to over populated then are juiced for their goo which is the fuel for life extension technology so the greediest richest egomaniac shitbags in the universe can live for tens of thousands of years or more. If that's the case humans are not the divine creation of a loving GOD that many believe to be true. Just the insignificant creation of some really rich assholes screwing around with genetics for their own personal gain. Humans are NOT special and nothing the humans do matters.
Our housing estate resembles a zoo so I quite agree with his theory.

Earth is an 'experiment' , over 600,000 million years old: Lather, rinse, repeat. With respect to the environment, this 'iteration of man' is the worst. We are Not the most 'advanced' humans to exist on this planet. Far from it. Lastly, Earth is 'mined' for its mineral, precious metal and human material (genetic, food, slave labor).
