"Let me suck your bottom." Never thought I would hear that in a Zelda game. – 07:12 😂
Why does the Earth Elements look like water
You know that 1/7 of the world's population is far less than half right? Not just a "bit"?… But ok, let's say your stat is correct just for the fun of it. At around 7 billion people worldwide, that would make 1 billion gamers. At 50k Steam users, that means a mere 5% of gamers use Steam. Your number only increased the percentage by about 3.5%. 😛
The rest about what is or isn't superior is entirely opinionated and irrelevant to discussion of statistics.
?Wut? Over a half of people gamers? Are you shitting me? More like 1/7 people. That means a little bit lower than a half. And there is a bug reason for that. Its exclusives are million times better than even Nintendos. Half Life 2 vs New Super Mario Bros Wii, TF2 vs Zelda, CoD vs Pilotwings, tons of awesome indie games vs shovelware, HL3 vs like idk MOAR MARIO U, Practical and familliar keyboard and mouse with gamepad support vs crappy motion controlls. However you spin it, Nintendo is inferior.
(Continued) So Steam users are a minority in the gaming community. Maybe Steam is big in your circle of people, but it doesn't reflect how the gaming industry really is.
Posting to a circle of people is not a indication of the whole. You have to use stats. Looking back, I miscalculated… I think I calculated 500 million instead of 50 million. Well, there are 50 million steam users. There are 7 billion people in the planet. It's estimated that a bit over half of the world's population are gamers. So I'll round it down to 3.5 billion gamers to give Steam a better chance. So Steam is composed of 1.428% of all gamers.
So that 1/7 was a mistake on my part too.
Ok, ask "Do you use steam" on twitter/video description/comments and then we will see who is right.
Bad example on my part. I wrote that too quickly and didn't think it through like I usually do. How about not knowing if someone is a fan of the always-controversial show South Park but buying a South Park shirt for them?
Oh and we already went through that steam users make up 1/7 of the gamers. So 6/7 gamers don't. 😛
Who dosent have a car these day? Same for Steam.
They were extremely pleased! :3
Wouldn't it have made more sense to ask if I had a Steam account before buying something? XD That's like not knowing if someone has a car, but buying them car seat covers anyway.
And PkGam gatherded enough Chu Jelly from defeating that Chu to feed the Minish Village for a year in sweets.
Ok, look. I see that your trying to stay safe on the gaming front. If you feel insulted i apologise. Its just, I spent 8€ (maybe dosent look like much but its my 2 week pocket money) to donate a game to my favourite letsplayer, so i was kinda dissapointed. Anyway, you keep beliveing in what you want and ill use all the advantages of steam untill it closes in 2063 or later.
I can see all you are doing is trying to make a mockery of this whole thing because you keep implying I have an outdated attitude or am paranoid so I'm done here.
Considering that you were happy that MS reverted their DRM policies with the Xbox One as you said in a PM yet you are happily embracing an exact system just for the cheaper prices despite knowing how a policy like that hurts gamers goes to show I shouldn't have debated with a sell out to begin with because you caved for the prices.
You said it was progress which means steady improvement. Is that not innovation?
So what that some games are only Steam powered when you'll lose them later? Everything has exclusives and it's too much money to own every exclusive anyway. I just wouldn't get them just as people boycotted the Xbox One because of it's DRM policies.
I don't trust our Government because they have been trying to pass internet censorship bills and nulled the 4th amendment. But I don't think they are run by aliens…
I didnt say it was innovation. I just said its practical to have all those things in one program. Also well done finding for example Xcom Enemy unknown that dosent require steam to install, so the disk is useless. +Do you thrust the goverment or you think its run by aliens?
TF2 is free, I already explained the issue I have is with games you pay for, not free ones. You might lose the game one day, but you won't lose any money… unless you buy some of the digital in-game items of course. But that's optional.
No, you do not have to deal with it and neither does anyone else because you can buy the hard copy versions.
You get what you pay for when you buy cheaper through downloads: Restrictive DRM.
I've gotten many IRL freebies from buying hard copies.
Voice chat is still voice chat and other services besides skype have it free.
Other services have a friend list.
Other platforms and consoles have a browser.
You can mod other games.
You can back up your saves.
None of what you mentioned is innovation.
Also, it has tf2. Nuff said.
Ok. You go and be paranoid. I, if i want to continue playing new games, gotta deal with it, just like everyone else. For every bad thing, steam does 2 awesome things. For example: Huuuge discounts, trading cards, superior voice chat than skype, universal friend list, ingame web browser, mod workshop, save cloud etc. Poteto potato.
