Apple is reportedly looking for a larger share of the smart home device and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests we may see a tabletop robot device from the brand as early as 2026. The device reportedly features an iPad-style display attached to a robotic arm that can spin 360 degrees.
Apple’s tabletop device would be able to control smart home devices and be used to attend video conferences while also serving as a home security monitor. It will reportedly feature integration with Siri and Apple Intelligence while running a customized version of iPadOS.
Speculative render for Apple’s tabletop robot device
As per the new report, the project is headlined by Kevin Lynch – the same executive in charge of the now-discontinued Apple car project codenamed Project Titan.
Apple’s tabletop robot device is rumored to launch in 2026 or 2027 with a starting price of around $1,000. Again, this is just a rumor at this point so we’d advise you to take all of this info with a few grains of salt.
