how he got to norse was said in 2018 on one of the maps most people didnt read it i only did because i love the god of war story but he sailed to norse using the boat captains boat at least thats what the map said

Ik this is months old but the lack of gameplay compared to the cutscenes dat is 7hours combined wit no gameplay is a big problem alone
I really dont want anything from Sony anymore. I dont want to see Atreus kissing a man. Nor Kratos being a weak grandpa. Ragnarok was woke.
That intro got me chuckling instantly when i understood it.
This game would be flawless with a “remove tool tips” option. Not only will Atreus shut up, but it should also get rid of the “parry that attack!” “You’ve got bifrost on you!” “You’re on fire” any of those.
Well… The update came and…. There's no way to skip the Atreus sections. Surprise surprise.
Honestly, i might believe in conspiracies considering god of war ragnarok won best music award at the game awards, because literally everyone know elden rings music is way better when it comes to the big boss fights in the game. Examples: Malenia, blade of miquella, godfrey, first elden lord, The final battle, Morgott the omen king, etc etc. You get my point.
Modern AAA games: (tells you hints every five seconds and if you dont solve it in ten it tells you the answer)
Meanwhile Elden Ring: "Go talk this dude until you exhaust his dialogue boxes, go to the academy, kill a giant dog so you can access the rest of the area, clean out the place until you get a helmet made or rock, find the hidden key above the arena where you kill the dog by walking a miles worth of climbing and jumping, get the key, deliver to that one dude you talked to earlier who wanted a spare key to get into the academy, then he gives you the erudition gesture, then go to this one tower somehwere in the game, put on one of the rock helmet things and use the erudition gesture, now you can acquire a couple of spells your probably never going to use"
I am waiting for ragnarok pc port and I think its a good thing because till then new game+ and cutscene skipping will have already been implemented

Rogue HOT TAKE ALERT:
PUZZLES SUCK!! I wish I could wipe everyones memories and make them replay the old god of war games' puzzles for the first time and watch them suffer through the time based ones. GOW2 especially, half of them were gimmick bosses with puzzle mechanics. No thank you. I am still 50-50 on which era combat I like more, but puzzles can fuck right off of my combat games. Same as platforming in GOW 1 Hades' challenge or even the old DMC games (respawning enemies if you fall room from DMC4 I'm looking at you) Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Also replaying any game, you could fly by the puzzles and forget about how out of place and tension halting they are in games like these.
Just my opinion and before anyone roasts me for playing all these games 50 years after they cane out, I'm sorry for not having a childhood ok?? lmao
It feels so weird when these characters call kratos… well kratos, it feels normal when young kratos is called kratos but it feels weird when old kratos is called kratos, actually… it feels weird when the new characters call kratos "kratos" when zeus called kratos "kratos" it felt normal

Yeah the gameplay is the most important, in god of war 3 the story has many plot holes but f*ck the story the gameplay is top notch I love doing the epic combos throwing enemies and then crushing them with tartarus rage, and best part it has no walky talkies (except the last fear kratos part after killing zeus but does that count?)
Minor critique about gow 2018 (I haven't played ragnarok yet): I dont give a sh*t about this game having no cuts I dont understand why people are praising this game for the entire game being filmed in one shot it isn't even that important, when I am travelling through the magical doors it would've been better for it to just show a loading screen instead of me being forced to hold the thumbstick forward, then I could simply just pick up my phone
They should change some or most of the stuff in the combat system in egypt and they should keep a special combat system for every mythology it would be cool it every mythology was tied to different combat systems like if kratos were to ever return to greece the old combat system would return since that land is tied to that combat system
