Actually you can kill Skull Kid with the Master Sword. You just can't do a jump attack or he'll teleport away. Just do nice, quick cuts.

I know that if you win Malone's fence jumping game you can win a cow. What's the point?. Or is there one?
actually Lan the Master Sword DOES damage the Skull kids, but the thing is they can only be hit by normal attacks, not spin attacks, or jump attacks, just horizontal slices, vertical slices, and stabs can hurt them. any attack other than those types (eg: spin attacks, and Jump Attacks) will make the Skull Kid run away.

OK NOW, my best bud Alec (known as soemthign else here) brother found somethign interesting bout this game.
The biggoron's quest has a side route to it. it leads to a FLUTE LIKE THE SKULL KIDS. however he was super young when he did it and forgot to record how to do it.
only lead is that the blonde kokri and the gossip stoen behind the deku are related to the Flute quest.
You can kill the skull kid with any sword, you just can't jump attack or spin attack.
