Strategie guide is something l always loved, even to this day. It’s not the walkthrough for me because i never used it, it was about seeing the fun facts, the maps, the monsters bestiary, stats of weapons or armor , etc. For me, a good game guide was the ones that showed you those kinds of things than just a walkthrough. I still collect some guides for fun, especially for the zelda games.
My problem is I no ahha moment.
Legit the only reason i bought the rdr 2 guide is because of the artwork
VI.
FIsusaaak is àn
6:20 Where is that sound effect from? I recognise it. A lego game maybe idk.
My English isn’t great. My cat peed on me mouth
Is E.T. that much worse than Adventure?
Yes, yes it is. Adventure is easy to figure out and is actually, you know, fun.
I’ve had so many strategy guides throughout my childhood, and still have quite a few of them in storage. Heck, I’ve read through a few of them so many times that the spines broke, but I still held onto the pages.

The worst part about looking up guides or any info about new games is the articles are full of so much fluff and I have to scroll down through so much crap before getting to the one sentence worth of information I needed
What Scott did for the “walkthrough” was so funny like he wasted time for no reason. Like people should do that. Omg Scott u are so funny.
I did use a guide for Eagles Tower.
I still consider Links Awakening my second favorite game of all time.
You can still have fun while using guides.
I don’t care if the internet exists, strategy guides and those types are still the sacred texts
The funniest part is I too got stuck on "that one bit in link's awakening"
10:38 IT'S HIM
0:30 great sky island:

Scott’s right about the Crash, ET was NOT the only reason the Crash happened. There was the SwordQuest contest, the infamous PAC-Man port on Atari 2600, and just an oversaturation of mediocre titles from other game companies that ended up going bankrupt, ET was only a small fraction of the cartridges that were buried. Those that call ET the worst game of all time either never played the game beginning to end or completely ignore everything else that happened in the Crash. Context is key when it comes to stories like this.
3:30: I guess Scott is blissfully unaware of all the paperbacks sold at Waldenbooks that covered how to defeat Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Defender. In his world, creation began with the NES and anything is just a rumor.
Quite a few games or sections of games are designed poorly. However, there are so many idiots out there that plenty of them get stuck on well designed games or puzzles, and they try to blame the games rather than admit that they are stupid.
i genuinely chuckle everytime i google something rather badly worded only to find out it's SO common a problem that google's got me covered.
Yes, i realize this is a sign of 'bad" gamedesign.
but it still makes me chuckle whenever i google "that one puzzle in [name of game]" and just fkin find it in the first result.
peak gaming experience right there
1:01 PARADISE CITY MENTIONED!!!
9:05 and 10:35 cause these are really funny clips

I just want to take the moment to thank you Scott I have a lot of personal issues and a heavy addiction to doom scrolling but your content is the only thing on my phone to stop me from doom scrolling. Your videos help my brain go quiet thank you.
I have a Link to the Past strategy guide. I should read it sometime.
6:27 I can smell how old that book is from here.
The first game I called Nintendo for back in the day was van helsing 😒
Yeah im ngl, I wouldn't be caught dead calling a random Nintendo person asking them to guide me through a level I was stuck on
5:34 The Super Mario Bros. movie eh?
Only thing I looked up in Hellblade was where the runestones were. '>_>
We might be slowly approaching a lesser but 2nd videogame crash again.
All hail chuggaaconroy
