If you're here in more recent years as a 2024 player, after my first playthrough my extra tips are:
1. BUY CLOTHES! EQUIP THEM AND UPGRADE THEM. Go to the fairies. They make climbing, fighting, swimming and everything so much easier.
2. Get Revali's Gale and Daruk's protection first!
3. Use elemental reactions, fire on ice enemies, shock on water enemies. It's an instant kill sometimes.
4. Grind shrines and unlock all the map as the first task even before finishing all the divine beasts. Get revali's gale to help with this however.

The first things I do are: go to Satori mountain and get a lot of hearty and endura stuff, then I go to grab the master sword with 3 hearts with the campfire glitch

I am older and have been a Zelda fan since the NES and have played almost every single one. Wish I would have got into the sooner, but better late than never.
This game is pretty overwhelming with everything to do in the main quest but also all the side quests and tasks. I appreciated your straight up advice and the reasons why.

Its been a while I havent played zelda, the last time I played was on Gameboy. It gives different experience when playing, and its more into survival. I got chicken out sometimes everytime i wanted to go on stealth but the enemy was on my blindspot, they ambushed me from behind 😂😂😂

I got a switch when smash bros came out and I never cared about this game ever and then my son started to watch Zelda videos on YouTube and said he wanted it so I got it and he would ask me for help and I’m like I’m sorry idk this game and then at night I found myself trying to progress in the game for his sake and I slowly started to like the game and now I find myself playing it on my own and I’m looking forward to completing it but it really is so much fun.

I am loving this game, but I have been playing PlayStation for years and I did get a pro controller and I am having A REALLY hard time getting used to the controls. I like to press the analog stick to run and things like that. I find the control scheme on the pro controller very weird and I don’t think you can many of the buttons. I hope you know now that you can fast travel before your stamina runs out. And that if your stamina runs out, the game lets you deploy the glider one last time. So you can jump off a cliff face just before.
