What's your favorite dungeon from Ocarina of Time? Mine is, by far, the Shadow Temple.
… and of course I gave that one to Monster Maze for his video… curses!!
Personally thought the forest temple could be linked to the four sword since the colors match and not much was explained of it. The evil wind could have also been related to Vati, or at least hinting at him. But I like your theories too
"problems for hylians are not problems for gorons", paraphrasing that one goron chief from twilight princess right before he drilled through a rock wall by rolling into it like sonic the hedgehog 2:27
for why goron prefer dodongo rock over outside rock maybe it's like our food take exemple the Kobe meat VS any american meat taste different
I think the forest temple somehow ended up in the dark world and in ALTTP, the skull woods is what's left of the forest temple.
The giant moth boss answers nothing though.
Botw barely had dungeons
How cool would it be if they ever remade OoT that they actually made the light temple the first temple. Like right after you turn into an adult, Rauru makes you earn the light medallion and prove yourself as the light temple would be kind of a trial of heroes
In my many times playing and 100%-ing OoT, I never ONCE thought about why the Gorons didn't just eat the entrance, lol. Maybe they took it for granite. Either way, this game rocks. 🙂
would be nice that the hypothetical remake include an expanded lore that confirm o discredit all of these theories
Imo: the forest temple is a stronghold, whose house sigil is on the walls in large. The poe sisters were priestesses of that house. They likely wielded magic and were slain in battle during the castle siege. Ganon used magic to summon a demon to occupy the stronghold, and that caused the sisters' spirits to ressurect. They were on the losing side of the civil war. You see house Hyrule insignias at each temple because that's what you do after you capture strongholds. But secretly, the Sheikah can use the Oot to warp to those strongholds to keep an eye on the new families or stewards of the strongholds.
ive always thought of the forest temple to be an ancient temple older than the lost woods found by the hydrule royal family in a distant past again before the woods took over the lost to the forest that had some crurse for it to grow and take over the land.
Great video guys!
It's so weird not seeing the crescent and star on the blocks and other places.
I always thought that one of the Gorons mentioned that the rocks blocking the cave were so repulsive that any goron that tried to eat the blockade vomited, thus making the starvation problem even worse, but I might be misremembering.
Anyone who pronounces it Vohl-Vagh-ee-uh makes me want to die
The reason that the Gorons didn't eat the rocks blocking the cavern was simple… Stomach ache. XD They were gourmets lol. They only could stomach the rocks in the cavern lol. This is even mentioned in the game. (Not the stomach ache part, but the gourmet part)
I love that the Gorons are gourmands. They only eat the best rocks.
For some reason, I remember hearing or reading that the reason the Goron's didn't eat the boulder in front of the cavern is because they couldn't digest it, or it was hard on them to do so. I'm sure it's not true, but that's something I always thought as a child.
The Forest Temple was designed to house the entry to the Sacred Realm and the Master Sword was supposed to be placed in the room that you fight Phantom Ganondorf in. The Sisters once used their powers to protect this place in service to the Royal Family but were overpowered by an evil being (Ganondorf probably) and became Poes. All of this happened before Link exited the Temple of Time. The Forest Temple however became abandoned and the entrance to the Sacred Realm was sealed there so no one could get in. But it was still protected by the Sisters who later on speak to Saria and try to help her. But Ganondorf was to powerful and overwhelmed Saria and the Sisters. The Sisters than request that Link end their torment in the form of a game of hide and seek. Meg also asked Link to save Saria and destroy Ganondorf for good.
The mirror of twilight is in ocarina of time, you lower it down and use the light to ware away.the face of the sand goddess statue in the spirit temple, I don't think its by mistake that they made the mirror of twilight where it is in TP without the intention of us drawing that connection
Given the timeline and release date of games, I assumed the poe sisters were descendents of the four links from four swords. Their colours match and everything. Done retroactively. This also explains the triforce in hidden places
16:11 dude it is just keese wym???
Love the collaboration 2. That's how I found your channel. So plus on that. My honest input
I am new to channel. I like it ❤️
@ 13:32 man, I can’t believe you guys didn’t suggest that the desert poe guiding through the haunted wasteland was the deceased 5th sage of spirit, congruent with your theory about the 4 sages in the forest temple.
Considering the ease of removing the boulder closing Dodongo Cavern, I assume the gorons put it there to keep the dodongos inside. They call them an a ancient menace so it's unlikely they're well versed in fighting them.
And I assume the beamos were put there by Ganondorf as an additional obstacle, but I'm only guessing that because they're the first thing you see in Ganon's Castle later on and that they're tan which makes me think they're gerudo-made.
Man, Gorons do come off as lazy dimwitted idiots too afraid of their own shadows. It would've been more appropriate to have the water temple or ice cavern be the Goron dungeons and the fire temple / dodongo cavern be the Zora dungeons, since both would've played against these races' weaknesses
I thought Gannondorf reanimated the Dodongos and so Darunia put the bolder in place to keep them trapped inside until they could figure out a way to get rid of the Dodongos.
The Gorons can't eat that big boulder because it's inedible. Also, Darunia was trying to think of a plan to fight off the Dodogos without sacrificing his people
The forest temple being the temple of the forest sage makes sense. The four poe sisters being previous sages is a reach my joints can't handle.
If you look at the rock in front of Dodongos Cavern it appears to be cracked. I theorize that the Gorons actually did try to eat or break the rock. However, it's not actually a natural rock. It's a magically conjured rock, hence riddled with dark magic so the Gorons couldn't stand it.
It is the good job my puppet god job that is scay
Forest Temple is by far the best.
"Why don't you eat the rock blocking the cave?"
Probable answer: "Hylians eat plants, right? Why do you have farms? Why not just eat grass? Think before you speak."
Terminal Montage: :0
“why didn’t they eat the rock blocking the cavern?”
darunia mentions them being ‘such gourmets’ that they can’t eat normal rocks anymore, they’ve evolved their taste to only like rocks from inside the cavern.
The shiekah were meant to guard the Royal Family, I don't think that they would actually be part of a royal family.
I feel like its supposed to be implied the gorons eat specific rocks only found in the cavern.
My Favorite temple is the Spirit Temple It's really kool, challenging and fun!
UGH the water temple!
These videos are a great way to relive the nostalgia 😊
Pretty sure most if not all poes can multiple
the poe sister… they have the four color of four sword link… can they be what remain of Link used the four sword and they are like this?
like this is what happen after, or. is someone else that used that sword and created the forest temple?
Them being so protective of their rocks is not not really out of a realm of possibility considering the fact that somewhere along the line there was some sort of distrust between the gorons and the Zora which apparently had started one of the wars….
Well little do a lot of people know but many different species of fish also eat rocks. Different types of fish clam seals and even whales are known to eat rocks… there are a few different reasons but one that is known is to help alleviate hunger…
And tho it has since been disproven it was once thought that alligators had actually swallowed rocks to help weigh their bodies down more to help with diving….. which is something that we know that the Zora are very well versed in the art of diving…..
Perhaps there was a time when the Zora were running low on a food source and perhaps the gorons feared that they may try to eat their food as we can see in breath of the wild these rocks are quite a delicacy and obviously not something impossible to devour as we know from breath of the wild flash backs…Link eats an entire Rock roast 🤷♂️ and if a Hylian can eat a rock roast I'm pretty sure that Asura can handle eating a rock roast
About the question "Why gorons can't eat the boulder, what blocks the enter into the Dodongo's cavern?": Darunia said, that the rocks from a Dodongo's cavern are so tasty, that gorons just can't eat all other rocks.
The game tells us why they don't eat the boulder. It's because they are picky eaters and only eat certain types of rocks found inside the dodongo cave
"why don't gorons just eat any rock?"
"why don't you go eat some grass off your lawn?"
Maybe five of the sages were maidens while rauru was the one male of the group
