Why Artists are Fed Up with AI Art.

he should have done at least a little research into how tokens and transformer models work before making this video.. this is so disconnected from how AI works that it cringe. Why would he do this?

I have to agree disagreeing. If AI models kill artists, there will be no artist to train them, so AI models are much more fragile than artists who don't need AI to train them. Humans can evolve on their own while machines need humans to learn. Humans can apply art directly in the real world while machines can only do so in their specific digital world. Machines can read the tools and color palettes but do not understand the techniques and how to use them. A machine never touched grass so it ill be in an eternal art block. The secret is to draw very bad, for the next 5-10 years so the AI becomes so mediocre that those idiots stop investing in them.

The funny thing is just plain ole computer programs and technology is good enough to create for creative people and artists. Hell plain ole analog equipment is good enough and in some cases better. Just how Fuckn uncreative do you have to be, to have some other entity or species or intelligence whatever the fuck you like to call it, create the damn shit for you? That is the real issue and truth here!

If artists weren't so derivative and horrible, they wouldn't be threatened.

Here iswhat I will say I totally agree and it is not the best but in the future, we won’t use AI just to take over all of our work we could just use it as a tool
To save time with code or small designs, we will not use it to take over all of our job

So this is about copyright. Money money money. Where is my money. I thought so. Let's separate that from the joy of learning and creating. Before AI there was forgery in art. Most people do not even try to use an artist name. Whoever wants to steal does it AI or not. You missing on how AI is aiding people with learning how to draw or how people are helping their own Art with AI. I think your copyright argument is self serving and not seeing beyond money.

I grew up in Michigan and you guys sound just like the old shop heads did when they brought in more and more automation. I’ll say to you what was said to them “learn to code” I have been an artist for my whole life. the people looking for AI art more than likely weren’t going to pay for a real artists work anyway.

I agree to a point but where you lose me is that If I am an artist with some talent. But I am a kid so I am just growing with abilities and I am looking for what kind of art I want to draw. I might see some art by a specific person and think "wow! I love that style!" and then I go to learn more about it and maybe watch a youtube video of that artist creating their art and I practice doing the same thing so I have the "style" figured out. Then I go on to make my own unique stuff. Am I not allowed to do that? What If I become obsessed with Bob Ross episodes and learn to paint happy little accidents and enjoy making art for people and selling it online. It is my art, I made it. My own hands held the brushes. But it looks like a Bob Ross painting. Am I not allowed to do that? So if your stuff is being scraped off the internet, the AI learns how to replicate your style, then folds it into a huge clump of art data and I come along and type "Draw me a picture of a butter fly on the end of a finger of a child" and it creates an image that has never existed before, do you really have the right to claim it? The AI learned from you the same way an artist learns from another artist. So this is where I think you just have to deal with it. This is the future. Nobody is going to watch your video and stop using AI art generators. There is a reason artists are called "starving artists". Throughout all of human history they didn't earn any money. So get a day job. Oh but wait, you have 1.3 million views on this video. You have 1.48 million subscribers. I am sure you are doing just fine. You are not starving.

Never mind the artists that have work already put out there! Try starting up from scratch: NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
The market is being flooded with synthetic art and music, and as if that weren't enough, people make autonomous youtube channels that automatically generate content! And here's the real shocker: people comment on their stuff telling them how nice their work is! Some people can't even tell the difference anymore! This is so goddam frustrating!

This is really no different from how you would treat a human artist who uses your works as a studying reference.

Bro you literally CONSENT for your works to be viewed and learned from by PUBLISHING them, also already 30 seconds in and you're wrong about ML needing those datasets to be able to perform…. it's a shortcut that spares us from wasting decades on creating those models without "high quality datasets", are you asking people to waste gigantic amounts on energy when you can do the same thing way quicker and for the benefit of humanity? The crazy thing is how many people get sued from Warner chappel for using just a tiny sound bite from a song they own for their own remixes, and yet artists can have their artwork remixed by a machine and no one seems to care about the ethics of that…

who cares about your work..you are just going bizzrk becasue your work or carrer will be gone soon….the thing you learn over a decade now i can do that with just a couple of prompts, and ovio you are just being jealous that those companies making billions, you are not.
