I started digital art three months ago and its hard for me to get my drawing style in so i use a base and go on from there.
I am getting better at it though, just slow as fudge!😊😅

I’m not really a digital artist. I’m an artist and tattooist, but use procreate for tattoo design. Some very useful tip in this video. I need to start using a bigger canvas for my designs, which I didn’t consider doing before. Thank you for sharing!
For me, coloring is fairly easy. Cause I use simple colors and simple shading. I don't do rendering or anything complicated.

I create art in Shapes rather than Lines. So I use Adobe Illustrator a lot for my art, then pop it into adobe photoshop to give it the 'fancy touch'.

Thing about Layers. Nope. That's 100% an Apple only thing.
They want you to spend $3000 on a tablet so you can have 5 more layers.
On PC we can have as many layers as we want. Your computer might chug if it's not powerful enough to handle it but it's not uncommon for SOME to almost reach a hundred layers, and it could keep going with thousands more!

I’ve been struggling to improve in digital art bc I always end up crawling back to my old, ugly art style… like I can’t even force myself to stop ‘perfect’ lineart… it sucks lol

coloring is not hard if you know the steps
1. Base color
2. Flats
3. soft shadows (midtones)
4. Hard Shadows (dark tones)
5. Cold and Warm Light (color in the surrounding/background)
6. Bounce light
7. highlights
I’m still learning a lot about drawing skills and umm yeah I managed to draw a woman’s chest so I just tried to make some eyes it was ok but I’ll try one more time
Color struggle is real, my siblings draw and the only advice they give me is just to do it. Helpful yeah 😭😭

I don't see the disappeal in your first coloring. Looks normal.
I don't follow color theory. I just select whatever makes sense on the color wheel. You can lower or higher saturation if it looks to dulky or vibrant.
I refuse to learn everything about shadows/lighting. I can just make a few things make sense but uh I refuse to make it completely logical.
Rendering I started a month ago or so and I'm okay on it. Throw the blush and the random shadows and stuff, okay maybe not that simple, someone suggested to stop rendering with black which I didn't know I was doing but yes kinda-ish.
Background I suck. Just do some non scene background like a color and some shapes. Lineart can have backgrounds too.
Atmosphere is something I never heard mentioned in art.
Making colors look nice together is not a problem. It's okay. Looks normal not beautiful.
