if i catch any veteran souls players walking away from a fight without getting naked and making a day of it i will have lost all respect. we finish what we start lol
I'm mainly dual wield my curved swords. What does most damage, dual wield attack or just two hand one of them?
A crucial mistake is not putting points into Vigor. Get it up to 25-40 to make the experience much less frustrating and allowing yourself more time to examine the move patterns of bosses.
Meet after loading the game for the 1st time, there is an enemy which turns out to be tree sentinal
Tip: Git Good
"dont try to be a jack of all trades!" lvl 713 " i dont think you understand "
Do ppl find margit or whatever her name is hard bc I got her on like 3rd try but rlly struggled on the guy with a bunch of arms and legs
Great list. I started out slogging areas that were beyond me but checking my pride helped make the game more fun.
If I’m under leveled for a certain area, I just rush through it and pick up as many things as i can. Plus, you can still come back later.
Picking a class really only matters for the very beginning of the game. Around the mid game
You can respect.
Quite a few times if not as many times as you want. Even if you don't respect towards the middle and ladder parts of the game, you are so high. Level that.
It won't really matter if you start it out as a samurai, but started putting points into becoming a Sorcerer.
This game was my very first from soft or dark souls like game. Believe me, I was very intimidated.
But I did not rush this game. I thoroughly explored and did local dungeons?Because I wanna define all the good stuff. So when I inevitably made it to a big boss, I was over.Leveled. I didn't struggle with any of the bosses in this game. Even the hardest boss that everybody's terrified of melania, I beat her on my seventh try. Since there is no difficulty, The only difficulty is completely dependent on you. If you explore and find good weapons and armor and level them up and level up your character and your spirit summons etc. Unless you Just have the worst hand eye coordination, then you're gonna beat every boss in this game at worst in ten deaths or less. If you rush 2 boss fights and Don't.
Do any of the things I said than?Yeah you're gonna struggle greatly. If you don't enjoy exploring the open world in this game, then I don't think this game is for you.
Another tip sleeping pots are a must especially if your facing the shitskin duo
marr-giit
It takes a lot to make run away from a boss. Its hard coded in my brain since DS1
Baldachins blessing is some bs…I beat Margit, working on Godrick and I still have it on.
get a mace or hammet try to get a hold on a way to make it holly with an ash of war snd use it on undead enemies, Even strong ones in early game are weak to holly magic… And they do not revive once talen down …hope this helps🎉
you should 100% go east at least if you want to get some of the better weapons and talismans that could carry you through the start of the game, just don't go fighting everything you see.
Those are huge. Got so much to learn
Fallingstar beast actually doesn't take any more damage from striking despite being made from rocks. Moon rocks I guess. Here's a tip: there's a lot of ways to soft brick a character. From locking yourself out of talisman slots to losing physical resistance foods to not being able to level up if you choose the wrong dialogue options. That last one is a hard brick. You'd think it'd be really hard to soft brick. You'd be wrong. They're random npc quests that you have to do before main quests.
Bald chin's blessing gives decent stagger prevention and phys res if you get it just before boss fights. 35% phys reduction is probably better than 5% health against Malenia. Only 15s though.
I’m really trying but I really don’t think I can get into this game.
I been playing this game for 10hours I love but I need a lot of help 😂 I try to get help off YouTube and twitch but there’s probably no help for me lol😅
Slumbering dragon is exactly why you wanna go to called early get the uchi moon veil or mace/flail with bleed and net about 50k runes early
New to Elden Ring – died twice with the first boss guy in the first cave before I jump strike him & R2 immediately after a block. Felled him on the 3rd attempt. Also, who would have thought that if you put your head under that woman’s bosom, FIA I think, she’d bring negativity into your life? Just like what happens IRL 😆
Thank you
“You don’t want to just die 40 times right at the start” me watching this after just starting the game and fighting the tree sentinel for 3 hours 👀
I died 400 times fighting Tree Sentinel as the first boss and I beat it. Call it a gamer pride or whatever, but I ain’t letting the game make me his bitch.
I would also have mentioned that weapon scaling isn't static. Ie it can improve after you upgrade it enough
I thought she showed up at night after you get torrent.
Calling the debuff Baldachin is wiild 😂 💀
Joke's on you. I evenly distributed my stats the very first time I played, and if that was a mistake, then it was the must amazingly fun mistake I made and repeated in subsequent playthroughs
From Software reinventing how to troll their players by giving you a buff but it’s a secret debuff
Another seemingly obvious tip is to use the map markers. You come across a tough spot, mark it. See anemy you cant beat (yet), mark it as well. I can't remember how many times I've come across an area i meant to revisit mich earlier. Game on, tarnished.
You can beat the tree sentinel very early on. You just need the summoning ashes for the wolves, and torrent. I saw my buddy do it, and then once I finally bought the game I replicated his strategy. I was below level 20
I feel betrayed I started the game three days ago and I really liked Fia, you know since she gives me hugs, but she casted a curse on me?! TRAITOR!
I know you're not really supposed to go to caelid at the beginning, but I found out if you go to farum great bridge grace site, there's some pretty easy enemies there you can farm for runes and it helped me level up pretty quick when I was starting out
