I did 2 playthroughs lol one with the dad being more aggressive especially during the hostage scanario. Jay ending was similar to this,but I talked vanessa into staying with her pops which seemed to the better option. Tyler got away,so did the mom along with guy who worked the motel. Then another where I tried to make jay as psychopathic as possible lol wild,almost everybody was dead except him,Zoey and the dad well intel he got executed. I was wondering what happened if you jumped with her. I was tempted to take the cop out but I knew she definitely leave lol.

Vanessas dad final speech really was a nail on the coffin of any chande id let her come with him to Canada. She has a whole future ahead of her and must not waste it by going with Jay to waste land. Granted, there was love but it wasnt a mature love and wouldnt last anyway (which was confirmed to be true if you choose her to come with jay to canada).
I think Vanessa liked being on the run more than settling down. And if she had to settle down it’s better to do it in a city.
But what I don’t understand is if Jay is most wanted along with Vanessa, how did she not get questioned lol? Or tell them where Jay is? Also even Zoe figured out jays location but the fbi couldn’t?

It's very realistic that Vanessa would leave. She's not actually involved in the murders and still has a brighter future ahead than Jay. It was irrational to just run off with someone she barely knows. And even more irrational to stay when she can just leave.
Jay has nothing left to lose except his life and his own family abandoned him. Vanessa still has hers. And honestly, imagine what they went through living in the wilderness for a long time and not being able to ask for help. Jay is used to working hard and hunting. Vanessa isn't. It's amazing she even lasted 6 years.
What happens with Vanessa's dad honestly makes me really sad. Yes he may not have been the most loving person but he lost both his wife and son and then he could never see his only remaining family member again. He was definitely too controlling and strict and smothering but I think he was just scared of losing all that he had left. A complex character indeed

Vanessa's very unpredictable, a teenager thing, she wanted to go with Jay so badly and then she abandons him, she says she'd risk everything and still abandon him

I KNEW VANESSA DOESNT DIE… I watched hollow and when he didn't jump with her, I saw there was only one other decision which I assume woulda been: "jumped with vanessa." if she died it would say: "Jump with vanessa" then another choice thingy saying: "vanessa died/dead"
